As I have learned a bit of Japanese (just basic Japanese), I have read that differently. XD
Your conlang is actually interesting to me.
Anyway, I have a similar thing going but it's some mix of my Aurun and Japanese. Obviously as it's me, I have come up with a backstory as to why it happened.

"~Could" is some sort of future aspect or something? Like a hypothetical (and not could as in the past tense of "can")
Pronouns not otherwise specified are both animate & inanimate

Here's a tip if you plan on using it frequently - use FontForge to make a font with your script's characters in the Private Use Area, then you can have readers download the font and use the [font] tag in your factbook to access it, or simply embed images rendered using the font. To make typing it easier, you can also create a custom keyboard layout. I've done this before and it's annoying, but it ends up being a lot easier than painstakingly manually placing characters!
