WASHINGTON — _{A.P. | BLOOMBERG} Opening Markets on the NYSE saw shares/volume of Finnish-based trading slump, lead by Nokia ^-9.46% (NYSE: NOK) as concern rose over Helsinki's move to sieze territory from Norr, otherwise known as the Norse Kingdom, in an area known as 'Finnmark'. The action, done by Finland's president, Alvi Karvonen, carried out unilaterally has received diplomatic condemnation from various nations on the European continent.

Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, reiterated President Biden's call for diplomacy resolutions between Finland & Norse, potentially through United Nations mediation. Nevertheless, the White House made clear NATO's readiness to defend sovereign borders should Article V of the Atlantic Treaty be invoked, was an absolute and unquestioning resolve — in Thursday's Rose Garden remarks after the nomination of Leondra R. Kruger to the Supreme Court, following the passing of Justice Clarence Thomas, making Justice Kruger the first African-Paramerican woman to serve on the nation's highest court, should Senate confirmation pass through.

No word has been received yet from the Norse government to NATO on invoking Article V, yet even so the (DJUSAE) Dow Jones U.S. Aerospace & Defense Index has risen sharply since news of the Finnmark seizure occurred, going as much as ^+11.86% in the past week, anticipating continuial tensions in the Nordics. The White House has signaled its intention to entact sanctions on high ranking members of the Finnish government in the coming days, and expected to receive wide support in Congress, regardless of political affliction.

I think it's a very alarming crisis, there really hadn't been military intrusions in the Nordics in nearly a century, Finland has clearly found an avenue to seize Finnmark off grotesque ethnostate lines, and the Norse government's unwillingness to defend their own sovereign borders, even with a ready NATO has caused markets to believe tensions over this will be here to stay. . . ." Lanhee Chen, a Senior Research Fellow at the Hoover Institution spoke to Bloomberg TV on the Finnmark crisis. ". . . I think this is definitely something the Markets will continue to watch out for, and we could see a re-focusing of National Security interests back on the Northern Arctic by Washingtonian policymakers. . . ."

On the matter of readiness, the White House clarified it had no intention to "grandstand", as White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki remarked on Friday's briefing ". . . The United States is, of course, prepared to react anywhere and anytime across the globe, but no, to answer your question — we don't intend to boast any form of mobilization before it becomes a military objective, it's just not how military powers react prior to active duty engagement . . . We find no threat at all from the Kremlin's call for United Nations action, as a matter of fact, they, just like uh, NATO allies in Europe understand the floor of the United Nations may be the first and most important step in reaching a diplomatic conclusion between um, Norse and Finland — The United States stands ready to defend its Transatlantic allies, but in order to do so, they must invoke the treaty . . ."

Prime Minister Jean-François Roberge is appaled to hear that, shockingly, Finland has 
violated the sovereignty of Norr. Mr Roberge also expresses his utmost concern at the rapidly
deteriorating situation in the Nordics and echoes statements made by the respective foreign offices
of La Plata, the French Republic and the Imperial Roman Federation as well as the statement made
recently by His Majesty Haakon VIII. 

Earlier today the Québecois National Assembly convened and the Finnmark issue was raised - 
a motion was promptly proposed which condemned the aggression on Norr and reaffirmed Québec's support
for the country, passing unanimously. Mr Roberge also spoke privately with Prime Minister Katrín Jakobsdóttir
of Norr earlier today.

The Québecois Ambassador to Finland in Helsinki sent a statement to the Finnish government on behalf
of the Québecois Government - official travel advice to Finland has since changed, and all Québecois people living or
working in Finland have been advised to return home to Québec. Furthermore, the Ambassador and his staff have been
evacuated from the embassy over security concerns.

Likewise, the Finnish Ambassador in Montréal and their staff have been asked to depart the embassy voluntarily
as soon as is practicable, or face official expulsion after 14 days.

Mr Roberge made the following statement on the matter:

"What has developed in Finnmark is of grave concern, and Québec reaffirms its support for the Norse Kingdom
and its sovereignty, which the Finnish Republic has disgracefully violated. It is clear that the Finnish
Republic is not willing to commence a diplomatic endeavour to bring an end to this affair before it devolves
into one of chaos and violence. We are entirely supportive of Norr and stand firm in recognition of their
sovereignty and unequivocally condemns the Finnish Republic for their actions. It has been requested that the
Finnish Ambassador and their staff depart the Finnish Mission in Montréal within the next 14 days.
Failing that, the diplomats will be expelled."

Québec also supports the French Republic's ultimatum that the Finnish Republic remove all of its forces from
Finnmark within 48 hours of the ultimatum being dispatched.

Additionally, Québec is prepared to support Norr militarily via an execution of the North Atlantic Treaty
Organisation's Article 5 of which Québec is a devoted member. Québec will continue to assess the situation and make
national decisions as well as meeting and conferring with fellow NATO allies.

Europe was once again spiralling into a massive headache for Germany, which in some sense amused him, and saddened him others. Scheffner who he considered to be the defacto leader of Europe had spent most of her time in office sweeping up the mess made by despots, madmen, and any other boogyman that decided Europe or indeed the World was their playground, and with her departure on the horizon he pondered on who would take her political throne so to speak. Meanwhile across the Pacific the slumbering giant that was the United States had showed signs of life once more, particularly under the Biden Administration. The four years in which the world endured the daily insanity from the Trump Administration had severely strained relations, particularly his favourability to the despot Park Geun-hye who'd managed to create military junta for three years. Admittedly three years didn't seem like long, but it would have been longer had his brother not led an underground rebellion to overthrow her. Paramerica's return to the world stage, in a respectable manner, was most welcome. It gave Korea a sense of normalities return. An active united states; Europe trying to give each other black eyes while Germany tried to separate them; and his neighbours that simply couldn't decide who stole the language from who; and who each insisted their music was better. Normality was bliss. Bliss-ish. Bliss-esque.} |

Many eco-activists around Katowice had made their way to the city of Sosnoweic to protest actions done by the coal industry. They made their way to the peat bog, Bory, and the nature preserve, Szopienice-Borki. Together they occupied the parks and chanted displaying signs and banners decrying the coal companies actions, but many of them were careless in their actions and dozens did not attempt to clean up after themselves and more lit effigies and likenesses of the coal companies logos on fire and never attempted to smother them so a small fire broke out in the Szopienice-Borki. Arkadiusz Chęciński mayor of Sosnoweic, initially approved of the demonstrations, but had a close eye on them. Ultimately she had dozens arrested and once the fires were contained those arrested would have to clean up the two parks and provide 250 hrs community service in and around Katowice, as the crimes were high enough to reach that court. Mayor Chęciński would have trees planted to fix any lost trees. Luckily the peat bog did not suffer any damage but would remain closed for a week to assess the surrounding area. The city would not issues any more demonstrative permits for the next year as a result.

Jews who reside in the northern town of Olsztyn requested to the city council to fund a restoration of the cemetery that they had for their loved ones. While the city council did approve of it, they did so with the request that the family members help contribute a small portion of it and to give names and details of their loved ones so that new headstones could be created and placed. Said cemetery would be restored within the next half a year while descendants would provide names, birth years, and death years, along with a short message for the new headstones. The labour to etch the details into the headstones being the only thing the living members would have to foot. Piotr Grzymowicz would be present for the first exhumation. A rabbi and a catholic priest would be on site the entire process to oversee and properly manage all disinterments. The total number of graves that would be reinterred would be 250 and most of the living relatives would travel to Olsztyn to help with the process. Only 10 were residents of the town. Upon completion of the cemetery, the ownership would be handed over to the 10 Jewish residents.

PM Mateusz Moraweicki would begin going over options and would receive word from his Baltic neighbour to the north for assistance with their defence as they shared a common border with Finland, so a smaller detachment would be stationed in Riga for the time being all while obtaining any permissions from the nation itself to stage said troops. The Polish state would also withdraw its statement to Finland about mediation and would focus on the defence of the Nordic Scandinavia. President Duda would grant his blessing to anything the PM would need to do and would recommend to get the reserves performing physical fitness exercises to keep ready.

We look forward to new markets and promising goods from Russia, the Galla, Nusantara, and other powers outside those who have betrayed us so," he affirmed, focus sharper than ever. "Take pride in your sisu!" he declared at last—"Finland will stay above the tide of hatred!"

Accordingly, the Finance Ministry sent diplomatic messages to the embassies of Russia (Victoria Harbor), the Galla (Mesuvia), Nusantara (Erarwati), Turkey (Ranponian), the Arab Union (Asharken), Zaire (Bomoko zaire), Sudan (Nileia) and any others without trade arrangements with Finland and who have not flagrantly taken the side of Norr in the ongoing Finnmark Crisis. Such nations are invited to negotiate reductions in trade barriers and the creation of new economic partnerships in the face of Finland's loss of trade in the European Union and elsewhere. Desperately hoping to offset the effects of the crisis on trade in the West, the Finance Ministry has become increasingly open to cooperation from any foreign power.

The Government of the Russian Federation expresses great interest and welcomes Finnish efforts to strengthen trade relations through liberalisation. We thus welcome a Finnish delegation to Moscow, to begin exploring such a trade agreement. The dire geopolitical situation Finland finds itself in is wholly recognised by the Russian Federation, as well as Finland's current economic situation, one which threatens overall economic stability in the region. In order to mitigate the impacts of the situation, and combat further deterioration of regional economic conditions, the Russian Federation will similarly explore the feasibility of offering financial assistance to the Finnish state.

We further urge both sides to peacefully maintain the current status quo as to avoid open hostilities. We welcome both representatives of the Norse Kingdom and Finland to Leningrad to begin to draft a solution to the crisis.
