I was just trying to be polite. Losing 2/3rds of the country isn't really within my interest.
It's not your country, you're just trying to get more land for some reason. I understand owning one half of an island sucks, but that's how the Caribbean works.
But why was it all jumped together in the same parcel?
Because the guy before you did the same, except he kept cultural and ethnic differences. Our map just doesn't switch back to standard whenever someone who expanded leaves their spot.
That was a result of a land expansion by the previous RPer. It should've been broken back up into their respective islands, and it might've been, can't really rely on the map.
Perhaps I should give up the map placement and wait until Cuba opens back up, since I don't want to be kneecapped and it's not worth the argument.
Actually, it should and does, the WAE broke up when Non left it, the Japanese Empire (consisting of Korea, Taiwan and Papua New Guinea) broke up when Ranponian left it, and the United States of Central America when Antillian left it.

Yet Egypt and Libya didn't, Indonesia & PNG didn't, meanwhile some map expansions like Thailand, Syria & Jordan, Indochina, and Plata didn't even occur on the map although they did IC.
Bottom word is don't put too much trust into the map and just follow posts closely to keep track.

I'm not really talking about the map, more so the rules, more specifically pertaining to the dismemberment of land expansions.
Regardless if the mentioned unions and land expansions were represented on the map or not, it is atleast to my knowledge, a general rule that once an RPer leaves a spot that they expanded, for example, Syria into Jordan, the expansion would be 'terminated' with Syria and Jordan once again becoming individual spots.
