Hey, it's an oldie but a goodie.

Just did what will be, unless something changes, my last Presidential Pool with Obama.

The relief I am feeling is both refreshing and surprising at the same time.

Presidential Pool?

TRTHNBB Embassy Requirements
We appreciate you showing an interest in establishing relations with TRTHNBB!
But before we click that “Accept” button, your region must be able to meet the following requirements, as decided by the current administration.
Any region requesting embassies must:
  1. Have a population of at least 15 active nations. Active nations are defined as: Any nation that regularly posts on the RMB, Regional Forum or chat room, and/or logs on consistently.

  2. Not have any tags representing opposition to our central ideologies; for example, “fascist,” “raider,” and “invader” are not tolerated. Along with this, regions requesting embassies may not partake in any raider activity.

  3. Possess a structured form of democratically-elected government, combined with a founding document. A founding document is defined as: Any written document outlining the structure, fundamental laws, and ideological beliefs of that region.

  4. Not condone any form of discrimination against any particular group, including racism, sexism, discrimination against LGBT people, or any other unique classification, minority or otherwise.

  5. Not be an embassy collector. An embassy collector is defined as any region that has a policy of obtaining as many embassies as possible.

  6. Not be a region entitled “The Region That Has One State Bank.”

  7. May be a region controlled by a former Resident who wishes to maintain formal diplomatic connections. Those who qualify may have other requirements waived.

If your region does not meet all of our requirements, don’t fret! Embassies may also be accepted through a majority vote in the TRTHNBB Parliament. However, these are special circumstances and will not be made for every region.
If you have any questions, feel free to telegram any of the regional officers!
Note to All Readers: This Embassy Policy is no longer in effect and all embassy decisions will be under the discretion of Yodle until a Regional Government is reformed. Please send any inquiries via telegram or Discord to Yodle and he will try to get back to you as soon as possible!
Read dispatch

I'm afraid your region does not meet all of the new standards and we must regretfully demolish embassies. Thank you and if you have any questions feel free to telegram me anytime.
All the best,
Yodle

Yep, leftists are definetly veeery inclusive. *Slow clap*

What opinion do you hold about ALDE, the alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe? It can be described as a group that has within it the former beautiful leader of Belgium Prime Minister Guy Verhofstadt. Its main ideological trend is the European liberalism, which is a cross between classical liberalism and the American social liberalism. They are moderately economically liberal, moderate environmentalists and strongly pro-European, because they see in Europe the organization that has produced a stage of peace on our continent. Guy is hated by Russia and therefore is in the blacklist of persona non grata of Russia. It support the TTIP, the Treaty of free trade and investment between Europe and America. When people in my country think about economic liberalism and laissez-faire, they think about ALDE, because there is no a party or a group of libertarian reference here.

Libertatema wrote:Yep, leftists are definetly veeery inclusive. *Slow clap*

Yes. One of the problems of certain versions of socialism is that they want to build a perfect society by eliminating all that is opposed to achieve the purpose. Some libertarian websites and blogs do censor opinions contrary to their point of view though. This really seems a region where you can breathe freedom like an oxygen. :)

"Pool" of journalists (like "pride" of lions) - basically a group of journalists asking the President questions, Xyanth is a jouralist And I would guess he is rather bored of Mr Obama - his smugness, his arrogance, his dishonesty.

As for "Europe" it is not an organisation - it is a continent (stretching from Atlantic Ocean to the Ural Mountains - the most westerly nation in Europe being Iceland and the most easterly nation Russia).

The "European Union" does not even cover all of Western Europe (let alone Europe as a whole), several Western European countries are not members of the European Union.

On the nature of the European Union .......

It is based on the idea that government should regulate every aspect of economic life - it is baffling that any "Classical Liberal" should be in favour of the European Union, an additional layer of government that seeks to saturate every aspect of economic life with its regulations.

However, a lot of European Union bureaucracy (and its Parliament and so on) is based in Belgium - so this may explain the attitude of the Prime Minister of Belgium.

I'm not sure if it is entirely correct to say that the EU is based on the fact that the government should regulate all economic life. It is true that they have regulations in place to make sure that it is a single market system, but the system is made that way so that they can have more economic freedoms. When you have a whole system that is unified with common policies on trade, you can ensure a free movement of people, goods, services, and capital.

Not only does the EU trade within itself, it also trades with non-EU partners. It has formed FTAs (Free Trade Agreements) with countless countries. Including, Albania, Egypt, Israel, Iceland, Chile, Norway, South Korea, Switzerland, Turkey, and many more countries. They also are about to sign more FTAs with countries like Canada, Ghana, Nigeria, and Vietnam. They also are currently negotiating an agreement with Japan and India. So saying that the EU wants to regulate every aspect of economic life is inaccurate.

I cannot say that I really know enough about them to hold a valid opinion.

Not exactly a journalist. I am a broadcast engineer so I am allowed to have a public opinion. A presidential pool is where the five big networks all take turns providing the transmission facilities for the media covering a presidential visit.

And you nailed it. Jan. 20 cannot get here fast enough.

It doesn't get any more kinetic than a cinder block decelerating through Mach 4 on impact.

Yes, bit imagine an antimatter cinder block impacting at 0.99 c...

New poll is up. It references the call for boycotting LL Bean and roughly forty others for the grievous offense of supporting Trump or doing business with him.

Well, I could have told you that was a good choice without waiting for mods.

This is the group that proceeded to get several incarnations of the founder's account banned by breaking site rules when they got raided. Lol.

What did you even say in your RMB post?

So, I've not said it before, but you have to take note of the fact that I have in the past received a message from CAIN who urged me to close an Embassy with a Nazi region. CAIN is a coalition of leftist and anti-Nazi regions. I know it because within this coalition the Communist Bloc is included. It may be another attempt by the left on Nationstates to dictate his order.

CAIN vows to isolate diplomatically all nazi regions with an interventionist anti-nazist policy aimed to '' liberate '' nazi regions and to work against Nazi interests.

What thoughts you have about CAIN according to this description? I do not think this region has ever spoken about ut.

Don't even think about cutting ties with our Nazi brothers! They are important allies in our fight to quash the freedoms of the peasants that populate our nations!
