Just pick a stem degree and you will make it 100%. Also don’t pay for digital media, consider supporting brick and mortar stores, like your local post office!

pick a subject people will laugh at you for picking

you just brightened several peoples' days by telling them about how stupid you are, and that is something money cannot buy (yet)

Architecture!

What kind of history do you study?

I love the whole non-hist thing with HOI. I just got of a multiplayer game then in which my Portuguese Brazilin Marines liberated Sofia (Bulgaria) from Yugoslav Romanian Troops. By the end it was a four way war between the Entente (France, US and European democracies) vs Comintern, vs Axis (+Belgium but minus Bulgaria and Romania) and the King's Party (Britain, Austria-Hungary, Portugal-Brazil).

No joke I literally used minecraft to help me with one of my assigments.

Something I find annoying about the way my uni runs the courses is that whilst they expect us to use industry-standard architectural softwares (eg. Revit, Archicad) in our assignments, they never actually teach us how to use them.

I'll dramatize an example to make sense - in the technical documentation course where we are effectively drawing proper house plans (the kind you would see if you were building or renovating), the tutor will say something like - this concrete slab needs to be ____ thick and needs to be thicker where a structural wall is placed on top of it. So I know this, but if I ask the tutor how to do that in the program, it's like extracting teeth trying to get him to show me. He's a proper architect, so he knows how to do it, but his (and the faculty's) argument is that its a documentation course, not a Revit/Archicad course.

So what that means is whilst trying to keep up with learning the proper drawing standards, I have to teach myself the corresponding softwares. Lots of hours of Youtube tutorials etc. My main problem with this is that making us supplement our learning leads to an unbalance in the information we are taking in. I could watch 20 hours of super helpful YT tutorials, but my friend might watch 10 hours of really unhelpful stuff. Because the software learning is not even supported, let alone curated, there's a crazy unbalance when it comes to submission day - half the kids are turning in stuff they aren't proud of just because they didn't know what to learn...

Anyway back to the Minecraft bit, we were using a software called Rhino last semester for modelling our buildings, but I was still slow at it so I built my building in Minecraft first instead of stumbling around in Rhino. It was good fun and kept me motivated :)

Alternate south africa

Hello people.

Hello South African

Quelsh, Brusseldorf, and Alternate south africa

Alternate south africa

I'm having second thoughts about running this nation, honestly. It's supposed to take place in an alternate timeline where Apartheid never existed, but a lot of people are automatically assuming that it's just apartheid-era South Africa because of my flag, which is frustrating since this flag has nothing to do with apartheid in the first place.

Can you find alternate south african flags?

We love vexillology here, I'm sure we can come up with a cool flag that helps your situation!
