Transcript of Dyson-Hikari Corporations Official WA Address on 'Protection Of Biomedical Research'
"Representative from Tinfect, Secretary General, fellow delegates.
Although Dyson-Hikari has no large stake in the scientific nor commercial effects of this legislation, we still recognize its invaluable importance to the advancement of biomedical research and its applications. Unfortunately, due to my personal involvement in the cowardly terrorist attack at District 0, involving the Expatriate Services Office and the Commons, we were unable to respond in time with the repeal that was debated before. Even then, our views of the deeply contrived and highly misinterpretative nature of the repeal was of extreme disapproval.
Thus, we shall continue on our original stance and vote for the passing of this resolution."
-Hikari Shadow Executive Aio Sato, Dyson-Hikari Corporations Permanent Representative to the World Assembly
A corporation is sending delegates to the WA, hmm... What has the WA come to?
Hope everyone is doing well, I just wanted to let you guys know that an official update will be coming soon once the elections are done in Right to Life. I know it has been a while since the last update and I apologize for that, we (as a region) were pretty inactive through the holidays, then had a constitutional convention, and now we're electing our first administration since the new constitution was put in place. So, once everything is put in place a newsletter should be coming your way to give more detail on what happened over the past few months.

Alright. I saw everyone's posts earlier about Communism and feel the need to throw my opinion out: While I respect everyone's political beliefs regardless of where they live or what they think, I am strongly opposed to totalitarianism of any kind. Both communism and fascism fall under this category. Communism is bad because it allows the state to basically take control of everything, and assume ultimate power. And while theoretically the state is supposed to genuinely care for its citizens, in every example of communism provided this was never the case. Communism fails because it doesn't account for the human nature. And we naturally are greedy. And people who argue true communism has never been implemented are both right and wrong in my eyes, but the fact is, the idea as a whole is much to dangerous to experiment with. While communism did never make it past the theory stage, I don't think we need to install it again and watch millions more people die just so we can try and upgrade something that is doomed to fail because of our own behavior. And fascism isn't any better, because it basically uses the same principles, and twists them to become somehow hyper-nationalist and deadly. The only real difference between fascism and communism is one is highly nationalist and uses blame, while the other one is founded upon the idea that humans are expendable and the state is the only thing that matters, which is not true. They both suck. Stripping people of their political freedom intentionally or unintentionally is not a good idea regardless of if it means well or not. and opens a lot of weaknesses for dictators to exploit and get into power. Capitalism isn't the greatest thing ever either, but at least its not totalitarian and is driving down the right road. stick with it until we can replace it with something hopefully better that hasn't already been tried.
