Morrawia unequivocally condemns the horrific massacre in Zona Parirí, carried out by the forces of the Greater Parochial Order that occurred today, on November 4th, 2024. There is no justification for such brutality. We stand in solidarity with the Riojanian General Government and the people of Riojania and extend our deepest condolences to those who have lost loved ones. Morrawia reaffirms its support for the legitimate government’s efforts to restore peace and unity in the country. We call on the international community to continue to be in opposition to these acts of violence and support Riojania's pursuit of stability.

MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF THE REPUBLIC OF MORRAWIA
Statements & Releases | Minister of Foreign Affairs Statements

It is with profound sorrow that I confirm the deaths of 22 Morrawian Peace Corps personnel in the recent bomb attacks in Bosry, South Fresia. Alongside the tragic loss of 43 Niateri Bundeswehr service members, this brutal act is a devastating blow to our peacekeeping mission. My deepest condolences go out to the families of the fallen, and Morrawia stands unwavering in solidarity with Niater during this painful time.

These attacks, orchestrated by rebel groups amidst South Fresia’s ongoing civil war, represent a direct threat to regional stability and peace. For Morrawia, ensuring stability in this region is paramount—not only to combat piracy but to secure essential maritime routes and protect our national interests.

Intelligence services from both Morrawia and Niater are actively working to identify and bring those responsible to justice. Let me be clear: if necessary, Morrawia will escalate its deployment in South Fresia to safeguard our personnel and reinforce peace and security.

This act of violence will not shake Morrawia’s resolve. We remain committed to defending our interests, strengthening security, and honoring the brave service of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

CBS News | The National with Izumi Parvaskanda | 70 Jahre | Aired yesterday evening 22:45

- Bundestag approves first motion of war against rebels in South Fresia

- Parliament has approved with a 2/3rds majority the first motion of war against rebels in South Fresia, following the deaths of 45 Bundeswehr servicepersons and 22 Morrawian peace corps.
- This decision however is not a declaration, but rather demonstrates the approval of Parliament. It is expected that the Chancellor will make a statement tomorrow. Other departments and ministries are set to follow with a statement online following the decision.
- Many are referring to this as a "historic" decision, as Niater has never joined a nor declared war on any nation since its federation in 1924.

National News: - Radicalisation among youths increasing - Is the government doing enough to combat it?

- The Kinderschutzbund (Child Protection Association) is raising the alarm on youth radicalisation: a global challenge, which is on the uptick, including in Niater. The Home Office and it's various affiliated agencies, ministries and departments, defines extremism "as a vocal or active opposition to fundamental Niateri values, including democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of different faiths and beliefs".
- The National got in touch with parents and youths across Niater and took the time to interview them. Parents agreed that the government is not doing enough to combat this growing problem, with one parent stating: "Does it take for a major, hope to god not, terror incident to happen, in order for the government to act?"
- 6 out of the 10 youths we interviewed revealed that they were consuming material that poses a risk to their mental well-being and was linked to extremist ideologies or harmful narratives. We reached out to the Home Office for comment, they politely declined our request.

- Lüneham Police start ramming criminals off vehicles

- The Met are toughening up on crime, quite literally - Police in Lüneham are now stepping up, as pick pocketing and snatching cases in the city are on the rise. We interviewed a desk officer at one LMPD station, and they said they were getting a report (regarding pick pocketing or snatching) every hour.
- The National interviewed 200 residents regarding the LMPD's approach, and more than half said they supported the measure, with most citing "uncertain times" as a major factor in their support for the hands-on, literally, approach.
- There was opposition to the idea, with some citing it as dangerous - One resident even claimed they almost got hit by a moped that was knocked down via ramming. They state that the police should look into other methods for reducing crime, policing, and safeguarding the city, that don't involve these dangerous "stunts".

Rypalönd habanöwäb tëtrïspü Gaw?
Will Rypalohnd have a thirteenth Region?

Two islands coming together to form one Gaw (talking about the Tow Ëjlöndy - Twin Islands) is a thing which might repeat in Rypalohnd. The three fishing islands which are seperate from the main archipelego (Boskwutëj, Klojik and Nörijk) are the least populated islands in all of Rypalohnd, and legaly they are under Üplöndygaw.

Rypalohnd has in total 12 regions, a nice even number. The rising population of the northern islands and slight cultural difference (about the same when comparing any Region with another next to it) from Üplöndygaw have sparked up a talk in the Rypalohndese government about making a new Region which would split off this trio of islands into a new Region.

This proposal is still only in talks, and there hasn't even been picked a name for this new possible region. If the idea passes to the President, there will be held a referendum on the islands.

Lopandia's Snap Election

After months of increasingly fierce and expensive outfits during public appearances, watchdog groups encouraged an internal investigation into leader Ar'un's finances in order to determine whether or not they were adhering to the ethical stipulations of the role. To their surprise, the investigative committee discovered that Ar'un had not only been artificially inflating their salary through previously undiscovered backdoor channels, but that they had been embezzling funds from Lopandia's state-owned industry for years.

This shocking revelation led to a scrupulous investigation of Ar'un's misdeeds as well as their prompt expulsion from office. Pending trial, Ar'un is expected to face jail time for fraud, likely in one of Fifidome Correctional's luxe "white-collar" suites.

Thankfully, Lopandia's leader is practically a figurehead in its parliamentary government, so no crisis came about. However, Ar'un's heinous misdeeds led to an overhaul in political and governmental oversight procedures, and their ousting led to Lopandia's first-ever snap election.

Lopandian election cycles are normally short, but this time candidates had scarcely more than a week to campaign. Leaders from the gamut of Lopandia's political parties threw their hats in the ring, and most relied heavily on television and social media advertising to get the vote out.

Competition was fierce, but eventually, your mother emerged as the victor. Your mother is known for her wide berth of broadly acceptable policies. Exit polls indicated that most Lopandians find your mother's policies agreeable, though only about half would share a beer with her; however, a stunning 100% of respondents indicated they would like to get to know her more intimately.

Although the snap election certainly shook up the Lopandian news day, it is unlikely to change the status quo, which a vast majority already approve of. Your mother is expected to give the people what they want.
