Looks like Her Hotness needs to up her game...4th most corrupt government in the AO. Time to set out the fine Yeldan Pickle Jar(tm)again.

Well it looks like just being in the World Assembly has resulted in a tax hike for all my citizens. Of course most of my citizens do not even know there is a tax; that is how low it is.

Empress Jhessan looks up from her book
"Yes dear, but just remember I have all those Jaegermonsters(especially Captain Olivia) who would be devestated(and suspicious) if something unfortunate would happen to me on your watch."
Jhessan smiles sweetly at her husband Perfecto and blows him a kiss😁

I have a lot of unlovable relatives and political scandals waiting to happen to foist on other nations. I'm also bored out of my skull so I figure I can have some cheap fun at other nation's expense. If I go through with the idea, I'll post a link so y'all can take part if ypu don't already have aan embassy open. I think Kenny is the only active player I still have an embassy. All the other nations CTE'd over the years.

I might be sending you a new ambassador, actually. (Don't worry; you'll still be seeing plenty of Susannah. Err....) Reopening your diplomatic exchange sounds like a marvelous idea. I look forward to all the colorful characters you can summon to foist on innocent unsuspecting nations. :P

And here it is. Let the shennigans begin...

Mathematicians are gathering an infinite number of sphinxian treecats and typewriters to see if they can recreate the works of Max Barry.

The comic book series 'Empress Jhessan Spaulding and the Villainous Corporate Cronies' is a best-seller.

Retired WerePenguins and The imperial state

The commercialisation of highly deadly weapons has instilled The Palentine with a very polite populace.

Well, how did this happen??

The Most Efficient Economies in Antarctic Oasis
Nations ranked highly are the most ruthlessly efficient at translating raw resources, including people, into economic output.

1. The Goat-Enabled Plutocracy of Gruenberg
2. The Imperial Chiefdom of Krioval
3. The Jingoistic Theocracy of The Imperial State
4. The Mysterion Rising of Omigodtheykilledkenny

It won't let me format in a picture. D:

Well, this seems valid regardless.

I need to get off my butt and make a proper NatGeo map of the region so when I get bottom rung in environmental beauty, I can show who is throwing their empty beer cans over the border.

We have a māp on the AO forum, but its woefully out of date. Many of the nations do not exist anymore, but there was still a lot of unclaimed territory as well.

Be warned though. Sharing a border with Lois Must Die is kinda damaging to the psyche. Every once in awhile the Kilted Legionaires get all drunked up and gather on their borders to moon their neighbors. Its not a pretty sight.

I also have to try to join the forum again.

Easiest way is to use the nation's name as a username, or something recognizable to your regionmates. It also makes it easier to validate the account as I don't have to figure out who the hell you are. Sending a tg to Kenny or I when you create a forum account also would help as we would know what to look for to validate.

The problem has always been with tapatalk not being compatible with my browsers. I should be getting a new computer soon and might actually be able to go to a tapatalk page that is not a broken mess.

Saying "don't do anything that Empress Jhessan Spaulding wouldn't do" doesn't exclude a great deal.😁

If you are making a map, I only have one requirement. Retired WerePenguins is centered around the French Scientific Station, Dumont d'Urville, which happens to be almost the "polar opposite" of where Kenny is (I'm sure that there was a reason for why Tzorsland chose the oppose side of the continent to "retire" the all female military WerePenguins who were trying to invade that nation so as to steal the military secret of the exploding penguin but it's probably either classified or totally common knowledge). It's also South of Australia which is a lot better than being kissing cousins to the tip of South America.

Understood. I'm holding out until I can join the forum and see the original map so I can likely start a thread to work through all the revisions and changes everyone will want. Start with the (as far unseen by me) original map, overlay it, tweak the borders to match the terrain and longitudes/latitudes that might be in place, then go through community refinement on forum. Border colors will be first come, first served up to abutments (I call dibs on the first inclusion of attention whore mauve).

The "original" map is here: https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/antarctic_oasis/you-are-here-t364.html

The link should still be publicly accessible. Like Pal said, it's way out of date. Also it includes lots of silly stuff based on inside jokes. The "Puppet Show Theater" I only put there because I got tired of trying to add excess puppets to the map. The "portal to Cobdenia" was an eccentric time vortex taking you back 75 years. (If Cobdenia still existed it would be set in 1946.) Also gone are Bloodstone Kay, Quadalingo, The Evil Smurfs (?), Kivisto, and Antarctic Altanar - so that would free up a lot of real estate for newcomers. RWP is not placed, probably because I didn't know where he wanted his nation to be. But like he said his country is pretty much RL Adelie Land.

Not sure what became of the Yeldan enclave. If it has been abandoned I would imagine it's still there as a ghost town, with a bunch of broken-down Destructor Bunnies lying about.

Just did a quick scaling mock-up while i try to figure out how big to make this (2700 x 2300 export with a 8100 x 6900 pixel working file seems good) and how to do this off the forum. XD The borders are slapdash and not the proper NatGeo format (I can't find my friggin' style guide, so I was going by the EncBri guide, ugh).

Noobia will be back. Thats St Edmund/ Bears Armed. He goes inactive on occasion, but he eventully shows up again. His enclave is underground, and probally filled with critters man were not meant to know.

Ah, LMD's borders look nice! Perhaps the border with Palentine should be marked "Mooning Zone"...

Also they're called N00biana. :P (Probably because "N00bia" was already taken.)

Yeah, N00biana is posing an issue because Exxosia claims the pole too. So I think I might end up enclaving them if I don't feel like conceding that... XD At least Vinson Massif is already on Kenny's border, so I can have it. I am definitely not connected to RWP, even if I tried to claim the magnetic pole by technicality to keep my text right, the gerrymandering would be ridiculous. So I think what I will claim is the Amundsen Sea coast to the Transantarctic range — my apologies to Kenny for having to share the longest land border on the continent with me in the process. XD

Yay! New neighbors to totur-- er, befriend! Cookesland shared a border with us once; every so often Kennyite mischief-makers would rain across to administer wedgies, swirlies and purple-nurples to random Cookeslanders. For some reason Cookesland suddenly moved out one day and was never heard from again. Geez, it was nothing personal, guys!

Nice border mockups, Ex. For the record, I also claim the South Pole, but for diplomatic purposes, never bothered noting the claim on the map. :P There is a Kennyite research station at the South Pole; N00biana can be reached from there only by way of a high-level-security-access elevator, going down many, many sub-basement floors below. The elevator has never been used.

(N00biana also has its own secret entrance to its underground lair; the Kennyite intelligence community officially claim they have no idea where it is.)
