One thing I've managed to point finger that bugs it at Sekiro, is that in From's previous games I disliked fast low, damage output builds in favor of weapons that dish large amounts of damage in individual attacks, because I though that "War of attrition through death by thousand cuts" plays too much in favor of boss monster/character, which I feel I'm forced to do here. But I guess that too is because I've not managed to master certain important mechanics. lol
