Okay, so we're now almost a week out, and we have a host bid! So, with that, let's call this the 24-ish hour warning for host bids. Plan is to hold the vote shortly after bids are in, with results due in about 72 hours.

Congratulations to Audioslavia on winning the 83rd Cup of Harmony! (am I right in thinking this is the first major tournament Audioslavia have won since they had the curse reimposed?)

There will be a map update soon (ish) to reflect this; apologies that it hasn't come sooner, I've been busy with cricket roleplaying :( I'd like to take the opportunity though to reiterate that in order to make and keep a claim on the map of Anaia, a nation must be in the region of Anaia - if a country's exact metaphysical alignment is unclear, I'm going to make a judgment based on which gameside region the NS nation with that name is in.

No apologies necessary about any perceived delay to the map. Updating it more frequently than once per year is a superhuman feat of endurance and artistry and we're all incredibly grateful for it.

Modest of us to not consider the CAFA Cup a major tournament, lol. First WCC title certainly. The previous one was in cycle 64, which is so many years ago I don't want to think about it.

Clings tightly to the 55th Cup of Harmony and the JJJ 2 trophies

ICYMI, I'm seeking someone to take over running CAFA Cup signups/host votes/keeping the rankings. If you're interested and haven't reached out yet, please let me know via TG -- will send out a TG for input from the region re: candidates in the next week or so, so that we can do handover logistics near the end of CAFA IV.

Poll #1 is up! What is your favourite name for the shared location, [city]?

I am still in this region ;)

In any case I could care less if my map plot on Anaian side goes underwater.

What matters is that my domestic map exists, and it takes account into the duality....something I have been and will continue to use regardless of your stance. :)

We have a new poll! Part 2 of the [city] saga. Also check your TGs for a full poll experience.

The World Factbook Entry has now been updated to reflect the results of the fifth edition of the CAFA LigAnaia - (slightly belated) congratulations are due to Half Past Six: Furball of Audioslavia!

(I think that's the official name? I double-checked with a man called Ramses, he had an honest face)

I am Rameses Niblick III, and I approve this message.

“The proof is in the puddin’. It could be a white puddin’, a black puddin’, a rice puddin’, or - my personal favourite - a big chocolate gateaux wi’ fudgy bits. Alas but, I fear wur puddin’ will be one of they frozen puddins out the freezer shop, that you can taste the box aff a.”

‘Lack of Beans’

Heinz beans are missing.
In the pantry, they are not.
Baked beans: where did they go?
Surely, the beans are around.
After all, I saw them only yesterday.
Rage fills me as I cannot find my beans.
Eating them fills me with joy.
Punished by a lack of beans,
I remember the good times, where I ate beans.
Sadness replaces my bean-eating joy.
Heinz beans are missing.

A belated congratulations to Flavovespia for their victory in the final of the fourth edition of the CAFA Cup!

(these congratulations are belated because I went to my first Pride event yesterday (as a 30-something failed bisexual), it rained the whole time, and I did a lot of walking, and consequently I have chills and pains in bones that I didn't realise existed :( ouch)

I understand that, without my agreement, Alpine F1 have put out a press release late yesterday afternoon which makes no mention of me. I have not signed a contract with Alpine for 2023. I will not be driving for Alpine next year, nor will I be driving anything. I can’t drive. The gearstick is too complicated for my pea brain.

Never mind the boat, here's the ice cream van.
