Still working, but a lot of it is chaotic and there are TONS of separatist groups.

Is it possible they could join IDDO?

Is Halbor officially an IDDO country? I remember there being debates but it hadn’t been official yet.

Wait never mind. It is.

Saucilria is the only country debating.

Oh. I see.

Indeed.

Which is interesting, that IDDO is about democracy and Halbor is there. Should address that.

Halbor should be expelled. Or if nothing else it should come with the requirement of a transition to democratic rule.

Bring it up.

Pat Robertson has passed away at 93, my condolences to the Robertson family and friends, my condolences to his fellow Christian Conservatives, Rest in Peace in Heaven with God the Lord. He would have made a great conservative Republican President of the USA. He once proposed to cancel the US debt $ and start over, I think it can be done through the tax system, at least most of it, we owe each other debt $, so it can be done. GMS.

Sometime in late September 2004, Kildare and Hirayama had an official meeting. The meeting was to discuss on how to help the DDU be successful in its goal of reforming Kumokuro and ending the nation’s involvement in the war.

“Mr. Hirayama…” Kildare began but was interrupted. “Please call me Katsu.” Hirayama said. “Okay, Katsu, and I’m Luther.” Kildare said. “Katsu I have a plan. It involves both Halbor and Yeoncheonguk. Too nations who have the most beef with Kumokuro. In this plan Halbor and Yeoncheonguk help you defeat the Kumokuroese government and Halbor democratizes and in exchange your new government ceases hostilities with those two nations and you three can be in the IDDO alliance which will make you allies and will prevent you three from fighting ever again.” Kildare explained.

“Maybe. But how will you convince the King. His beliefs are like his monarchism, absolute. He sees me as a threat to him. He won’t change his mind.” Hirayama said.

“I intend to. I must see that Halbor returns to democratic rule and the war ends. We can’t have Halbor in an organization for the defense of democracy. It’s very frustrating. And these next few years politically are going to be frustrating too. But I have to try.” Kildare said.
“Indeed I hope you are able to bring this ambition to the table and that it works. We need all the help we can get.” Hirayama said.

“Halbor must democratize or it can’t be in IDDO anymore. We can’t have an absolute monarchy in an organization like this.” Lieberman said.

“Easier said than done. Halbor’s backsliding was due to the Kumokuroese involvement in Saucilria. I think the best solution is to take out the reason that caused it. Kumokuro has to withdraw from Saucilria. With that we can take out the insurgents and then withdraw from the country. That is another thing to focus on too.” March said.

“According to our intelligence the DDU has some terms and promises it wants to implement:

1. The governments of Halbor and Yeoncheonguk revoke their recognition of the Kumokuroese government as it stands and recognize the DDU as a legitimate body.
2. Help arm and train the DDU and break through the veil in Kumokuro to defeat the Kumokuroese government.
3. Halbor is to return to a democratic country.

The organization promises in exchange:

1. Ceasing of hostilities with Halbor and Yeoncheonguk.
2. Working together with those nations in the IDDO alliance
3. Kumokuro will join IDDO and aid the reconstruction of Sauciliria.” Ali explained.

When the Halborian ambassador heard this, he was enraged. He contacted the King, and explained it.

The Holmlunds (remember them) still hoped that democracy would return. That things would be better.

(Yes). The Alesian Ambassador to Halbor was summoned and immediately expelled, only given 48 hours to leave the nation. In addition, Halbor began closing it's consulates and recalled it's ambassador, as well as officialling beginning the withdrawal process for IDDO before it could be expelled. "In 60 days' time, we will have lost Halbor."

The Nationalists immediately attacked Kildare. "This man soured relations with one of our loyal allies in the fight against Kumokuro!"

Kildare had to begin to find a way to reverse this. “We have to bring them back into the fold. We still need them. But we also need to uphold democratic values and win the war.” Kildare said to his staffers.

"Expelling an ally because you don't like their government! This man is mad!" The king yelled. There was genuine rage - it was a diplomatic insult and many grumbles were heard.

Soon, it was October, and the issue of the cold was coming.

Could Alesia and Halbor ever make up?

“With the cold weather coming we have to do something with those vulnerable in the streets. We can take in some people in the Presidential Residence but that won’t be enough.” Jolene said.

That would be a decision up to the leaders of both nations. Regardless, pressing domestic issues were at hand. "The shelters are not the same as four years ago - they are much more robust and could accomodate the homeless. I'm curious about implenting more inclusive events, though. We have Atlantropan, Corphyrean, Assuwan (Assuwa being "Asia"), and indigenous groups, yet only Atlantropan holidays are celebrated.

"On October 14th, the Corphyreans celebrate their harvest celebration, similar to the Day of Gratitude. The Assuwans celebrate their Lunar Festivals on October 29th. Those are some examples."

“Well maybe we can give acknowledgment to those things and perhaps convince companies to give time off to those who seek it for the holiday. I’ll mention it to the president during dinner.” Jolene said.

"You should. The Harvest Celebration is a religious holiday for many Corphryeans and much of them are violating their religion by not celebrating it."
