All aboard!

Percy j pickleface

I'm back and whoa.... did I miss a lot.

Who are our new guests? Where's Eva? Eva, Eva? Are you ready for your big night with Madame? I saw her again last month. T'was a quick visit but only for Mr. Pickleface. Her baboon left immediately. Don't blame him. He was with his baboonlings and the Mrs.

They've flown in and out of our region over time. Friendly bunch o'geese. And welcome back!

First and foremost - my profuse apologies! I've been away far too long. But I'm finally enjoying a slower pace and more time for me!
I want to express my sympathy for the passing of Percy J. How very lovely that Kitten was with him - maybe he waited for her to come home? Then, he knew it was okay to go. :-)
And Mimes - to you and your family - my best wishes for complete recoveries from all of the nastiness that you've had to endure.

I had an exhausting late spring/early summer which had to do with at least a dozen visitors and very high expectations. I felt like I had spent 3 months in the kitchen. "Can you make us/get us/tell us/help us/bake us ...."
So when I finally broke free of 24/7 hostessing duties and escaped to SoCal, I did absolutely nothin' for nobody! "If you want a cup of coffee, get it yourself." Sun, surf, sand, bliss.

Now, for MB ...
I know that you understand our firm belief in psychic connections - transmitting/receiving. (for real) She & I have definitely spent some time in the tent and when I arrived at her show, I knew I was in the tent, again. Receiving, big time. And aside from the musical performance (which was wonderful), I knew I was watching a bit of 'performance art' - over-gesticulation, shall we say - and by the time I was getting direct eye contact, I had received the message.

To shorten a long story, I had to leave my companions behind - it was a meeting of only 2 minds - and it included food from Carl's Jr. (who knew Madame B had a Carl's jones ?). Being a veg-head, my options were limited but I got the poppers and she ate most of them. And so in a windowless, overly - air conditioned room with painted concrete floors, (heavy with the smell of grease), we got down to some heavy subjects. (no boonlings or Mrs. in sight).
I told her I could see her fatigue and disenchantment and that I wished she would go back to the carny world - the tents and the scarves and the caravans and the coast of Cornwall. She could leave the make-up and hair color behind. And who wouldn't want to wear a turban everyday? A life without the very, very great expectations and all that goes with it - all the time.
It's not that I didn't expect her to act on our conversation - I just didn't expect her to act so soon. ;-)

I left with a heart full of gratitude - for her and all she knows and all she's done. For me - for decades - and millions of others. (just think of that .... MILLIONS of others!!!)

Love you guys,
EZ

Hello Mimes and Eva. Sounds like you and Madame had a touching moment if only confined to 4 cement walls and the smell of grease filling the special moment. Madame B had Carl's Jr? Ha! As I recall, it was onion soup, lunch meat, water, wine, throat spray and cough drops. Not much of a spread for her "hearty appetite". She's insatiable. *shake my head*

I know a lot of people keep asking about Madame down at the Shake Shack. It's none of my business and that's what I tell them.... if Madame wants everyone to know then she will tell you. Until then, mind your business. It's rude to assume and spread fake news. We already have a leader who does that on his own, and well too.

Glad you had an opportunity to see her.

Happy Monday!

Yeah - those Shake Shack kids are always lookin' for drama. No drama here - all will be well.

Getting ready for that noisy, dusty, 24/7 time of year - I think I'll head down to the river.

Enjoy what's left of Summer '17!

The eclipse came and went with lots of fanfare. How was it your neck of the vanry Mims and Eva? We were at 93%. The sky darkened a bit but nothing really to write home about. The viewing part was actually very cool. The way the moon and the sun danced in the sky..... weeeee.

Isn't it Madame's birfday today? Her van lot is empty (for obvious reasons). I think I will go leave a bouquet of flowers on her van pad.

You know if she ever came back, would she be the same MB as the day she left us? Nah... she'd still be stinky and have stains on her dress. Though she did have two of the same cardigans -- not she why she wouldn't part with one of them. She had another. :p

I did forget her b-day but maybe this isn't the best birthday year for her. Some years are big time "Hooray for Me!!" years. And some are - draw the curtains/lock the door/stay in bed all day and wait for the date to change on the calendar so you can emerge from hiding and say "Hope nobody was the wiser." Granted, the eclipse was in Leo so more power to us! (I didn't travel to see it - didn't want to run into a circus - and from my own 'hood, it wasn't that impactful. Oddly, although I have a strong interest in astrology and the cosmos, solar eclipses have never really gripped me. Lunar, much more so.)

But I went to her new digs this morning and left a bright, sunny door mat at her entry - a lovely bluebird perched on a leafy bough.

Who looked at the eclipse with binoculars?

'Tis a wonderful time to be in Florida with Hurricane Irma barreling down upon us. Such a nasty storm. I hope it veers off into the water.

Mimes, hope you're weathering the storm ok. How are things?

Madame said she wasn't too keen on the latest weather report so she booked a plane to a sunny place. Her happy place.

My area didn't get the worst of it, but going through a Cat 1-2 hurricane scared the living daylights out of me. The house is fine, we're all safe, but experiencing that in total darkness was one of the most nerve wracking things to go through. We were without electricity for 22 hours, which is not long in hurricane damage time. No flooding. It could have been a whole lot worse.

Mimes - happy to hear that you're okay. Scared but safe. I've been thru a few tropical storms but never a hurricane.

Our Key was just slightly north of the eye which hit Cudjoe. The structure weathered the storm very well (concrete/steel storm shutters) but the grounds are a different story. When I looked at the photos and film that a neighbor sent to me, I said "How strange - why does it look like winter?" And then I realized that all the standing trees and shrubs were bare - leaves gone. I had never seen the Keys with bare trees!

Our house is on a lagoon and a refrigerator was floating in it and a big portion of someone's deck was lodged in our gate - the wind actually drove it between 2 posts.

The irony of this is that we just listed the house for sale in May. (after discussing it for 2 years and finally deciding that it didn't meet the needs/wants of the family any longer.) Needless to say, we've moved on to Plan B and the waiting game. Maybe in a couple of years?

As for MB - wherever she is, she'll be doing a happy dance after she's sung the last note for 2017.

Be well , all ~ xo

Percy j pickleface

Glad to hear you're ok Mimes.

Eva, how are the grounds looking at your place in the Keys and in your current neck of the woods? I heard about the fires. Wow!

Percy j pickleface

hello. *tap, tap* does this thing work?

Eva, Mimes? Anyone? You all ok?

Testing 1-2-3-4.

I think I'm here.

Hola Mimes. Did you see Madame on the YouTubes today? It’s a shame Judgie wasn’t around to see Madame in person.

No I didn't! I didn't know such a youtube channel existed!

Percy j pickleface

Yes, totally. She's all over.

All alone.

Percy j pickleface

I’m here. Sorry about that. I’ve been in in my own world. How are you Mimes? Where is Eva?

It's ok. This region hasn't been the same from compared to 13 years ago. Unfortunately key players that were here are no longer with us for one reason or another.

I don't know where Eva went. I suppose she went on some adventure somewhere. How are you?

Percy j pickleface

Hi Mimes, I'm good -- busy but good. Eva must be checking her vineyards and bud breaks. :) How are you?

Hi Percy! Glad you're still around! Eva indeed must be wandering around with an open bottle and a straw. I'm ok. "Winter" ended in Florida and we're back to broiling. Blah.
