Nomadic Westmore's nomadic ways appear to have been fairly short-lived, having lasted for about a month towards the end of 2023. They did publish this record of their travels though, which very much deserves a mention in TourAdvisor. Each entry gives a short overview of a region. In between the dead regions are some gems. It's interesting to see the different types of projects that people have going on.

Thank you for sharing that. It is nice to see you contributing again on our RMB. Although, I did see you over on discord as I was in my alter ego.

Corgium wrote:Are you guys an active region?

Yes

Corgium wrote:If I move Corgium to The Embassy, is there a chance for me to achieve even a low government position?

This question and the one above is what I will use to decide if I should move Corgium to The Embassy.

Moving is up to you. If you do choose to move, then there is always a possibility that you could become a regional officer. Our most recent officer is Schimmerland. He was promoted after he regularly demonstrated his interest in our region.

It is very well organized for a pretty small region and fairly recently made. I just feel as if the roles are given out quite freqently.

It is very nice and people are very kind and welcoming when people in the region actually post on Gas Station because most of the people in the region post more on First World Order then they do in their own region.

Alnobia is an active fun region, with a nice active government, that includes every WA nation in the region. It is a nice place to visit, although there is little that is extraordinarily special about the region.

NOTE: I need a break from this. This nation will be moved into puppet storage for the foreseeable future, as I need to cut down the amount of time I spend on NS for now. I will hopefully be back to reviewing in a few weeks time.

I donít give five stars lightly. This region deserves it. If you looked into Invicta from my last review, and saw how interesting effective anarchy without spam (looking at you Collin), while remaining rough governmental guidelines, can be, then this region is that with activity. While the population is small, it is energetically active, with numerous RPs regarding both real world and NS tangents. The residents were happy to give me historical information regarding Invicta (which was sorely lacking on that regionís RMB). While the government is currently suspended due to lack of members, it is functional, with room to expand. If I were to settle permanently, this would be the region, at least, that Iíve found so far.

This review is filed under Community, but with The Ambassadorís approval I would like to come back to the region early in September to document a biannual event in the region. If he approves, Iíll do another review under Activities.

From here Iím headed to Libertas, and from Libertas Iím headed to a top secret region that Iíll reveal in the Libertas review.

Karma is one of the biggest regions in the game, with almost 500 nations; however, despite the gigantic population, the general residents still took time out of their busy schedules to welcome me with open arms. They are truly a nice and open region. The question of the day is entertaining, but certainly not unique to the region. The community is quite silly, and extraordinarily casual. Perhaps things were more active and serious on the discord, but I as a rule of thumb donít join off site regional forums/discords. I was left feeling like the government doesnít really ďdoĒ much other than act as RMB monitors. Other than Altino, I didnít meet a single government official. Overall an above average, well themed region, but not fully worth the full suite of five stars.

Gypsy Lands was a welcoming, albeit strange, place to spend two to three days. The food was quite top notch, other than an unfortunate incident regarding the pancakes. Gluten free people beware, ďeat the damn pancakes or die.Ē Other than that incident, the stay was largely uneventful, with only one full blow RP nuclear war, regarding, you guessed it, pancakes. It was a strange and inviting place, so much so that I was sorely tempted to leave behind a puppet when the founder (creatively named Gypsy Lands) asked me to, but, alas, I already have far too many puppets.

Iím finishing up the evening in Gypsy Lands, and then catching a redeye to the Edmundian Empire. Iíll probably stay 2-5 days, as typical, and then catch a follow up flight to my long ago home of Libertas. Not sure about the TourAdvisor regs on reviewing long ago home regions, so Iíll follow the Ambassadorís lead on this. Either way, Iíll probably take a few relaxing days there.

We'll be ready for you. The Imperial government has already arranged you with a manor in the suburbs of Gladesopolis (the capital of the Empire). Consider it a permanent addition to your portfolio; you can come back to it any time.

Invicta is a place full of political role play and politics dramatic to the point of being hilarious. Or, should I say, WAS a place full of political role play and politics dramatic to the point of being hilarious. In my entire week long visit in the region, I put in a greeting on the RMB, and got a reply. Other than that solitary exchange, the residents were generally quiet. There were two other posts, both diplomatic endeavors that seem to have failed to break through the inactivity. The older posts however illustrate perhaps the most interesting regional politics I have ever seen, and at the very least the most entertaining. I, in fact, spent much of my time there simply reading the 6 month old posts, often with popcorn in hand. It appears, however, that there was a brief but hot civil war, and the majority of the region moved to the Edmundian Empire, which is where I will be headed after my current stint in Gypsy Lands.

As a member of the Edmundian Empire, I must say I am overjoyed and ecstatic about the TourAdvisor reviewers coming to our little corner of the NSverse. Reading this review made me and several other Edmundians very happy; we are delighted that you enjoyed our former region so much. It really was a great region, it just became more and more toxic over time. Now, in the Edmundian Empire, we still have political intrigue and some of the best RP, but the ACTUAL regional political drama of "coup every government, every time" has sort of calmed down.

While not super-active, the United League of Nations is steeped in history. Whether your a traveller wishing to rest for a few days or if you are interested in NS history, reading the dispatches, old RMB posts and the NS Wiki page about the region is a really interesting experience. The region is over 15 years old and has been refounded seven times!

The Great Monarchical Nations has a very active, small community who are willing to involve visitors in their chatting. Most discussions are based around NS, with a mix of roleplay, issue/statistic based and WA discussions on the RMB. The government seemed a little confused when I asked them what the focus of the region is when I asked, but I don't see that as a problem for visitors and travellers. Importantly, they do allow non-monarchical nations into the region, so no worries there. A visit is highly recommended.

The region is a place governed mostly by its founder. The founder is approachable and open to questions. The region is
welcoming of visitors, resulting in them being greeted very warmly. This is all due to the good governance of the region.
Nonetheless, governance could be improved. Measures such as the decentralization of power to residents will bring more
activity to the quiet political scene.
