I like the imperial system. I wear a size 12 shoe, perfect for measuring things.

And American football started out as soccer, shifted to rugby rules to allow carrying the ball, and then adapted to the game we have today. So I imagine soccer was called football here originally but the more popular sport got to keep the name. Fortunately we also have hockey, a perfect combination of the two, the best game in the world.
