Region: Ridgefield

I simply believe that a private military or police force owned by a person or a company is fascist and is an example of a hellish corporatocracy. Security guards aren't equipped with the latest and greatest tasers and AKs and there's a reason for that. As a democratic state, and, indeed, a democratically thinking person, I am of the mindset that such things are devoutly undemocratic and giving even more power to the already too powerful mega-corporations in our society. Companies are not countries. Jeff Bezos isn't emperor of Eviltopia. Elon Musk isn't Supreme Ruler of The Republic of Bad Worker Treatment. Private military and police forces would allow things like these to happen, and that isn't okay. I rest my case.

p.s, it's good to see the region up and running again! Been here for a few years and almost never left, save for a time when I needed to acquire the password. Welcome to Ridgefield, newcomers, and enjoy your stay. Our community might just make it a long one.
