Reorganization Discussions Begin, Ioannes Eliou

With the fall of Nashre last week and the annexation of Qisolon, Grand Yurah Ami began designing plans to reorganize the nation of Masdobo. Yurah Terach of Helfut and Yurah Sabah of Surbel, who have followed Grand Yurah Ami since the start of the War of Unification, were invited to the Palace of the Sun in Ekusra, Koxib Thursday to discuss the process.

While the discussion is still underway, there are severals ways in which Grand Yurah Ami and advisors may decide to take the nation. Two particularly likely scenarios are:

The Conservative Approach

• Masdobo is established as a confederacy between Koxib, Helfut, and Surbel. Annexed land will be divided amongst the three states

• Grand Yurah Ami presides over the confederation as Grand Yurah Ami of Masdobo, Koxib, Helfut, and Surbel, ruling until death.

• Yurah Terach becomes first in line for succession to the chair, gaining the title of Yurah of Masdobo

• Yurah Sabah follows Yurah Terach in the line of succession and also gains the title of Yurah of Masdobo

• All territories must follow Masdobic law where no local law exists. Exceptions may be made by the Yurahs of their respective territories

The Radical Approach

• Masdobo is established as a federation containing Koxib, Helfut, Surbel, and other newly defined territories from occupied lands

• Each territory will be under the leadership of a Shaxel appointed by the Grand Yurah.

• Grand Yurah Ami presides over the federation as Grand Yurah Ami of Masdobo, Koxib, Helfut, and Surbel, ruling until death

• Yurah Terach becomes first in line for succession to the chair, gaining the title of Yurah of Masdobo and losing the title of Yurah of Helfut

• Yurah Sabah follows Yurah Terach in the line for succession to the chair and also gains the title of Yurah of Masdobo while losing the title of Yurah of Surbel

• All territories must follow to Masdobic law. Where a local law conflicts, Masdobic law is supreme

Prominent political scientists from the Social Liberal Union were quick to release their own ideas for Masdobic reform. Whether they will carry any weight in current discussions remains to be seen. Approval of the Social Liberal Union remains at historical lows across Dobo since the disastrous intervention in Noirmarche. With the lack of investment in the region, it is no surprise.
