While we in the US are in another election year I'm curious on something. What are your thoughts on expanding the size of the house? Right now each seat is roughly 1 seat per 760,000 people. Let's say we make the new cap at 1 seat per 500,000 people. Every state but 7 would gain at least 1 more house seat. 6 if we simply count Delaware as a million population from 990,000.

Would or could this lead to a potential of third parties getting seats in the house? This would add around 145 more house seats mostly in the bigger states but like stated before give some states at least a extra house seat.
States or territory not picking up a house seat
Wyoming
D.C.
Both Dakota's
Vermont
Alaska
Delaware is close enough to a million to give a seat.

Maybe guarantee each state over 700,000 population another seat in the house. Basically just Wyoming and Vermont not getting extra seats.
