Icewindia

The Inkhaganate is free.
On its own, in the middle of a powder keg that is Tengerina.
The Tori Foreign Legion, still loyal to the Icewindian cause, transfer themselves over to their mainland to keep working for the Empire of Ice; feeling contempt for the Inkhaganate for 'betraying Hemlock'. Despite being natives of the Inkhaganate, the Legion was zealously pro-Icewindian, and would rather die for Icewindia at this point than for their own home.
But the pay was good at least.

Mīla accepted the title of the Protector; replacing Hemlock. Being his prodigy, the Inkhaganate looked up to her as they have done to Hemlock, and to drive the nation forward now that they are on their own. Yet, deep inside she was stung at the current political situation.
For Mīla, the Winters were her extended yet unofficial family. Having her nation break away from Icewindia like that, she feared her own relations with Hemlock and Winters would be ruined as well.
She would write a few personal letters to be sent to Hemlock for him to read, to let him know that his winged niece is doing fine.

In the West, all silent.
Woleve Atraland
Despite the United Horde having assembled on Western border against the Sol Imperium, the news of the Independence of the Inkhaganate quickly spread, and there was not much point arming the border as the country no longer alligned herself with the Ice Dragon.

From the Tori border, a messenger is sent to pass the border, and hoping to either meet a patrol, or something else. She rode on a Amaro slowly, with a white flag hung in plain sign to signalize peace and willingness to negotiate for the two sides to de-escalate the situation.
When meet with a patrol, she would not be armed and would collaborate if it meant getting her voice heard.

The army remained put, entrenched and prepared for a invasion if the talks would not go anywhere.

Engage in unrestricted diplomacy.

Between the choice of Congla, and the Moths, the Inkhaganate picked the Candainians for a diplomatic meeting.
