*Building on the silver one he won at last year’s Sport Society Classic, South Baban Jeffry Manuel Eads conquered a gold SSC shield in men’s golf croquet at Naviera after making a break that ended with a tense rover ball. The remaining continuation stroke yielded the 24-year-old from Sosudaso the SSC championship title in the sport’s singles division. After receiving his shield from Eulalia Wolfe, President of the Naviera Sport Society (NSS), Eads said: “I’m proud to have made it to the SSC. Proud to be a winner here. I still can’t believe it”*

*In the second women’s 100m semifinal of the day, Katudan Sabina Modric echoed her male compatriot Danijel Kavran by also advancing to the final, qualifying for next year’s Sport Society Classic in the process. In a dash that featured no South Baban sprinters for the first time since 2014, Modric finished with a time of 10.99 seconds, just slightly ahead of Skaraborg’s second place (11.06), who reached a personal best to secure a coveted spot in the final as well*
