RP: Governor Cristian Seizes Power, Declares End to "Democratic Experiment"
Bucuresti, Rumania - Following his sudden rise to power in the July Coup, Governor Cristian went about securing his base of power in Bucuresti. In the days following the coup he ordered the evacuation of all Legislators and key officials from Bucuresti citing "lingering security threats." Over the next week, he conjured up claims and accusations of subversion and collusion to levy against Virtuvece and several other powerful Social Democrats; it was using these claims that he ordered them to be arrested. This did not work to complete success as Virtuvece and six other high ranking Social Democrats were able to avoid arrest and flee to Cenagrad where they have petitioned the government for political asylum. Regardless of whether Virtuvece was arrested or fled, his absence removed Cristian's main political rival and the head of the opposition, allowing his to consolidate power. After the arrest of many Social Democratic legislators and the removal of Virtuvece, Cristian called a joint-session of the National Legislature where he publicly declared that: "decades of decadent and incompetent democratic infighting and partisanship has divided and weakened the nation, it has been made clear time and time again that this state cannot function without a single, unified, leading force. It is for this reason, for the continuity of the state and the welfare of the nation that I have chosen to dissolve the National Legislature, annul the Constitution, and finally put an end to the disastrous democratic experiment." Although he legally had no right to do any of what he had declared, he had the support of the Capitol Security Force (the closest thing to an army the nation has) on his side, thus making him powerful enough to do what he wanted. Surprisingly, he was met with little backlash. It appears as though the decades of civil conflict and government ineffectiveness had built a growing sense of apathy within the Rumanian psyche, or not wanting to suffer through more conflict the people decide that it was within their best interests not to fight back, not to oppose the change. Whatever it was, Governor Cristian was able to successfully, and with little more opposition, seize total control over the nation in a matter of mere weeks.

RP: Rumanian Coast Guard Detains Kowenians Under Suspicion of Piracy
The RSCG has detained all 13 Kowenian sailors under suspicion of Piracy as Federal Authorities launch investigation into collision and East Kowenian Merchant Company operations. RSCG, though facing waning odds, has continued the search for the missing sailors and captain from the Kowenian vessel, as well as debris, in hopes of piecing together a story and collecting potential evidence of criminal actions. The 13 detained Kowenians have been refused access to the Merchant Company and their families while in questioning by Federal Authorities. The questioning aims to find out why the Kowenians did not signal for help, what their ship was transporting, and about any other information which could hold clues regarding their actions and operations. Additionally the Merchant Company has been contacted by the investigators demanding they release information about the ship, the crew, and the cargo. The request for extradition to the Liranaholm has been denied, but the government has agreed to share evidence gained from investigations and questioning.
