Region: The Hole To Hide In

Demira wrote:RP: Political Division

With the Federation under Sievi's rule, things have begun to normalize. As Sievi would use the re-forestation effort and her status within the Shinist religion as a leverage to restore her legitimacy and prestige in the eyes of the people, many, especially the younger people, have begun to question the actions of taken against the current dictator in the past with debates on her title and rank being brought to question. For many it has become apparent that were the dictatorship of the former Empress to continue further with no elections in sight, Sievi may as well be declared the Empress of Demira once more. With the debate over the future of the Demiran leadership heating up within different parties and ministries, leagues have begun to form, with the two primary ones being the Federal Council and the Imperial Restoration Movement, both being supported by their respective parties, ministries and people.

As implied by it's name, the Federal Council pursues a return to the regular six-year election cycles in both presidential and parliamentary elections in order to avoid a life-long, potentially even permanent regime. The Federal Council would also return the balance of power back to favoring the Federal Parliament, rather than granting the president dictatorial powers.
The Federal Council is supported by:
-Democratic Party -DP
-Shinist Democratic Party -SDP
-Technocrat Coalition -TC
-Greater Demira -GreDe
-Demiran Ministry of the Interior
-Demiran Ministry of Transport and Communications
-Demiran Ministry of Finance

Opposing the Federal Council stands the Imperial Restoration Movement. They hold the goal of restoring the Imperial High-Throne giving the current dictatorial president, (ex)Empress Sievi Molotow her Imperial titles back and retaining the dictatorial power held by her. The Imperial Restoration Movement believes the war fought against Empress Sievi's regime in the past was a mistake and her promised return to power is more than enough prove of that. They also believe having a leader with over 100 years of experience about leading the Rekko-Demirans as their leader would be considerably more reliable than a government of like disagreeing parties without a true common point aside from mutual defense.
The Imperial Restoration Movement is backed by:
-Social Secretariate- SoSe
-Union of the Courts -UC
-The Merchants' Guild of the Demiran Area -MeGDA
-Orbital Representation Committee -ORC
-Demiran Ministry of Exterior
-Demiran Ministry of Nature
-Demiran Embassy Complex
-Demiran Ministry of Defense

Although generally opposing each other, both the Federal Council and the Imperial Restoration Movement have agreed on no violence between the parties as yet another civil war is in no one's interest. Sievi herself has stayed out of the debate for now in order to let the people decide their fate for themselves. In order to enforce the peacefulness of the negotiations Sievi has assumed personal leadership of the CKG for the time being.

In order to avoid a military confrontation with the opposing party, the two leagues have begun a diplomatic arms race to back foreign support behind their respective causes with
The Federal Council requesting backing from:
Concordaia
Northern new solingarch
Himana
Milenciano
Schwypia
Cenagrad

and the Imperial Restoration Movement seeking backing from:
Concordaia
Asukiro
Avidina
Evve terre
Basaran
Icewindia

All backing on both sides is to be purely political and at most monetary, else the backing from the country breaking this request will be ignored where it would normally count.

Despite being largely out of the loop with Demiri politics, Oswald Jorgeson has thrown his support behind the restorationists and the former Empress

RP: The Western Question.

Given Icewindia really cares not for West since Wallace Administration. Marshall Hemlock normally would be willing to back Federal Council and not the Socialist Monarch however.... He instead decides to back Imperial Restoration Movement helping to Put Diplomatic Pressure on Nation. The Reasoning for this is there can always be better monarchs in future and to help Back Oswald Decision. Noting Icewindia is willing to help put Diplomatic Pressure on almost any issue Basaran needs help on.

Taking this opportunity to convert the Tiber coins to Dragonic Ice Stones. Conversing with the Advisors, the money would begin to be put into improving the infrastructure around the Lohnai Isle. As well, whatever funds that were left would go into the armed forces for better uniforms to be created. Once the uniform was created, it would be put into the forces and immediately liked by the soldiers.

In addition to the recent changes, Arko would ask Akulda for a tour around Aurora, wanting to bring hemlock along for History of the land.

Tana Celosia will be gifting 150 Million Gold bars towards Akulda and her Center for Democracy Coalition. Tana hopes that these funds will find Akulda well and help her reach the goals to begin the next age of Icewindia. While its not a total selfless gesture, strengthening the bonds between the two nations this sum is a small price.

RP: Campaigning (CDC) and Tour.

The Funds have almost guaranteed Election for CDC as other party's begin to worry heavily. With Marshall Hemlock looking concerned at Election itself.

Akulda has scheduled an Live Televised Debate between top Canidates of Election including her and Kishi Kennedy.

Marshall Hemlock agrees as Arko and Akulda are allowed to visit Icewindia at any time. They are Family afterall.
