Kowenian islands

Seeing the devastation and destruction on the Kowenian Islands which are unoccupied, the Kiamaian Army sends 10 scouts to calculate the amount of aid needed to be send to the islands.

Many utilities have now become unavailable as any remaining part of the central government has been unable to hold onto them as various parties and groups have made moves in an attempt to gain control.

Whatever remained of the police force and “military” of the islands has been largely vacated and abandoned, as now them along with many public servants were being unpaid or underpaid as the central government lacked the power to get revenue to pay it’s workers.

Many citizens continue to flee to the Nonadian and Artaecusian side of the islands, or to Kowenian mainland in order to flee from the chaos.

The islands, now without a central power, has also seen a large influx of organized criminal elements who are using the unoccupied islands to continue to smuggle items into and out of the country and is supplying weapons to the various groups vying for power.

The various groups are divided into three groups:

Collapsed Republic
Supporters of this group are fighting to keep the former government alive and trying to restore power, they have largely been abandoned.

Nationalists
Funded and supplied by sympathetic groups of the various Kowenian states, the name for this faction is a loose term for supporters of a few groups who are described as authoritarian nationalists. The group offers to secure power quickly, although through violence, in order to restore peace and order.

Various Independents
These are other groups vying for power, some want to try and secure their power to the rest of the islands while others are established with the thought of self preservation in mind.

Such as groups of citizens banding together to protect themselves and property, communities of so called “local alliances.”
