Region: The Hole To Hide In

The revolutionary superstate of liaoxian

The flood of Liaoxian forces into the northern lowlands comes as little surprise to defense planners, as they had been in the middle of preparing for just such an occasion for the better part of a year since the broadcasted executions of nobles within the country.

The front line is to be divided into 3 command groups. Army Group East will fight along the coast, using massive artillery and naval bombardment to slow the advance and pin the flank in place. Army Group Center will use what is refered as ricochet warfare through the jungles with their more mobile formations as the Kirosi of old once had when threatened by Hassani armies before the unification to defend their homes once more. Army Group West will consist of the western flank of the Northern Army as well as the Western Army spearheaded by Khalladi Armored Divisions.

Total Current forces
- 20 Divisions
- 3 Auxiliary Brigades
290,000 Personnel
20,560 Unarmored Transports
1,790 Armored Fighting Vehicles
500 Main Battle Tanks
318 Towed Artillery
104 Self Propelled Artillery
104 MLRS

1 Helicopter Carrier
4 Cruisers
20 Destroyers
50 Frigates

144 Fighters
36 Strike Craft

It is estimated that reinforcements and replacements will be made available in the coming months.

On the Ideological front, the Kiros region that makes up the majority of the front had been predominantly socialist before the unification which causes some anxiety in the queens inner circle. However with the current Capitol residing nearby and the current dynasty being Kirosi born, nationalism runs high and resistance is stubborn. The current system provides for the population's universal necessities without taking away rights or threats of violence, causing the propaganda campaign to have startlingly low results.

In the Western mountainous section of the front, invaders are to be killed with extreme prejudice, as Khallad has a 3 thousand year history in the art of war to a point of near cultural obsession. Casualties are an accepted part of the reality but the long range firepower and heavy armor focus to deny the enemy direct conflict has served the ex military dictatorship quite well. When First General Saleem Kavorah was asked about sending reinforcements to the west, his only words were:
"May the gods have mercy on our enemies, because surely Khallad will have none"

RP: The First Etrian-Liaoxianese War (II)

Long Wang was forced to concede to the fact that initially, his forces were at a disadvantage. Admittedly, he expected resistance to initially be bitter, but the sheer determination of the locals and preparation of the enemy forces had worried him. Furthermore, the sheer presence of enemy artillery was enough to have him asked about his exact strategy. As it stood, the soldiers were equipped with enough anti-tank weaponry, but he still needed to position artillery somewhere, so he ordered 80 percent of the cannons to be moved into the captured highlands out west, and the 20 percent to combat the intense shelling in the jungles. Long Wang would authorize the use of incendiary shells to be fired from the highlands into high concentrations of enemy forces. Among them would be dozens of anti tank cannons for later use.

The clashing on the homefront would be relatively intense. Upon the prospect of being shelled, the 3rd and 4th divisions pull back in an attempt to lure the enemy into a killzone where they would be in range of Liaoxinese artillery opposite of the border. Rebels in 'occupied' villages would be killed, and the very few that decided to join up would be armed and pulled back with the retreating armies.

In the air, 50 divebombers supported by 15 fighters and 3 bombers would be sent to the skies. Albeit primitive WW2-era craft, they'd fly along the coasts, supported by a horde of about 100 weaponized civilian fishing boats (some armed with naval infantry, others rudimentary mortars, others full artillery cannons), 5 destroyers, and 5 submarines would be sent down the coast in an attempt to relieve the 4th Division from the pressures of Army Group East by striking what is considered to be the largest harbor within a reasonable distance of their border.

Even though the quality of some of the wooden boats and their nailed down mortars/machineguns and crude torpedo launchers was laughable, Long Wang knew that by using sheer numerical superiority, they might have a shot at temporarily incapacitating the lefternmost units of Army Group East.
