Region: Psychotic Dictatorships

Province of Meshech, Japhetia:

Over the past few weeks Sigurd the Elder of Tiras, and the brother to Beorn, and his massive army and navy was sailing north towards the mainland of province Magog, which has been torn apart in the Japhetian War of Successions between Beorn and his son Aeneas. Over the past few days however the massive reinforcements did not arrive as Beorn expected and due to the fallout of some social Issues lately has allowed the forces led by Aeneas to gain ground in the province. The navies of Apollo and Heracles also have broken the deadlock in the naval battle by destroying one of Beorn's navies and forcing the combined navies of Magog and Meshech back to a harbor about midway up its coast. Perseus the Elder of Madai remains on the sidelines defying Beorn's summons, and notes he will have to wait for Sigurd's move before he can cross the seas since most of the navy of Madai had been destroyed and not allowed to be rebuilt after his capitulation to Beorn after the death of Alexander. Mysteriously Sigurd's navy also disappeared from radar and Japhetia's tracking systems. Media and communications begin to mysteriously bug out or shut off completely around the province of Meshech late in the day.

On the horizon near the shores of province Meshech which is governed by Aphrodite, the wife of Beorn, the shadowy figure of a swarm of ships comes into view as the sun is setting and it is getting dark. Aphrodite herself is guarding Alba, the capitol of Japhetia, and the rest of her navy is committed to helping her husband try to maintain his claim to the throne in the province of Magog. The province is quite undefended, being a more remote area of Japhetia. As the night comes on thick the sky flashes violently orange as the battleships unleash a massive barrage on the port cities. After hours of bombardment and the wail of sirens, waves upon waves of soldiers from Tiras flood over the beaches and into the province of Meshech. They face almost no opposition and by dawn the coast is well captured and Sigurd personally disembarks to organize his army, planning to push for the provincial capital to seize Aphrodite's palace while she is gone and he still has the element of surprise.
