RP: Embassy Exchange

The Concordean Senate unanimously agrees to Secretary Wolfe's offer to trade embassies, offering a plot of land within the city of Heathfield. The currently sitting General Labor Council (GLC) is enthusiastic about new avenues of outreach and are eager for relations between the nations to evolve, approving the Senate's sense of direction in this foreign exchange.

RP: Military Modernization

2 years ago, an independent study was conducted upon the Concordean Armed Forces at the behest of the Senate and GLC as apart of the Laborite-majority government's campaign to ensure consistent quality in the polity. Earlier in the week the study's findings have been published and confirmed what was generally known by most citizens, that the military of Concordaia was sorely lacking compared to its neighbors and other entities in the world. In a multi-partisan show of unity, the majority of factions within the GLC voted together to allocate new funds toward funding the military of the Commonwealth. The military budget has grown from an estimated 12 billion dollars to 20, with an extra 6 billion being made available in the case of military stimulus. The sitting Laborite caucus has found itself as the target of much criticism in the lack of upkeep in the military with their opposition in the Federalist caucus emphasizing the need of a strong military to secure the people's democracy. Federalists, who have pushed for a stronger emphasis on the military, have seen themselves polling consistently higher on opinion polls due to this event.
