Unidentified M-Type Planet

Impa had changed from her uniform to something more rugged. On the field, it was always best to blend in with your surroundings, especially if lifeforms were present.

She heard beeping behind her and saw her little EG droid, who she appropriately named Edgar, watching her curiously. “Yes Edgar, finally there’s a planet to explore. I’m sure you’re just as excited.”

Edgar made an bemused sound. “Oh come on, the last one wasn’t so bad...I mean it was hot and there were those sand worms...but this is an M-Type so plenty of flora and fauna.”

“Commander, are you ready for departure?” Jirren called via commlink.

“Yes Captain, just about to head to Transport now,” Impa said, making sure to equip her small daggers. “Well, time to go Edgar.”

Edgar made a series of chirps, which Impa was pretty sure sounded like regretful chirps. The two of them made their way to Transport, which contained a device made for teleporting to the planet. The two security guards nodded as she passed by, entering the large room.

“Hello Robbie,” Impa said as she went up towards the machine. “Anything interesting on the planetary scans?”

“Just the normal floral and fauna but we’re not picking up any additional lifeforms,” Robbie said with how thick glasses. “I’m assuming you have everything you need?”

“Of course,” Impa said, motioning towards the backpack she was wearing. “Always have to be prepared, rule number one.”

“I wish so many others were as enthusiastic as you were,” Robbie said. “Go ahead and step inside. The coordinates have been set and this time, we made sure not to put you too close to a body of water.”

“Much appreciated,” Impa groaned. The last time she went to an M-Type planet, the coordinates put her right over a lake, despite Robbie’s insistence that the coordinates had her over land. She stepped into the cylindrical chamber along with Edgar. “Just remember what the captain said,” Robbie reminded her.

“I know, two hours max and then I come back,” Impa sighed.

Robbie smiled. “Stand by, teleportation starts in five...four...three...”

Impa closed her eyes and calmed her mind as she and Edgar disappeared into wisps of blue light.
