~footage of the Oatland Games 2018 Winter Games opening ceremonies from news outlets out of Aclion plays, focusing attention on Holly Blossomforth of Fishy Apples; Murdertron 5000, Line-Item Deducter X-4, and Shinzō Ayami from The Onigiri Enclave, and the participants of Revolutionary equestria~
~transition to clips of Lily Normande's controversial stunt, her comments on pro-human bias, and the impact of this~
~jump cut to the 2020 Oatland Summer Games gymnastics where Ayame Yoshikage is on the podium, winning silver, the first nekomimi athlete to win a medal at the Oatland Games~

"This is Delphi Bergit, live at the Oatland Games, where history has been made, as while we celebrate the outstanding victory of gold medal winner Park So-Yon of Hyon Delta who left all of the competition in the dust with their all-around score, its who is standing on the silver medal podium that is garnering just as much attention tonight, because after Fishy Apples athlete Lily Normande made a rigmarole about the lack of non-humans winning medals, finally a non-human athlete wins a medal!! Ayame Yoshikage, a young nekomimi from Setsuna City, this is her second time at the games, but clearly her efforts have paid off with massive returns. Everyone back home, including her family and the children she supervises at her cheerleading camp will be ecstatic at this historic moment!! Let's go around to our junior correspondents for several reactions."

"Thank you Delphi!! Mari Sato here with Lily Normande to ask what she thinks now that there has been the games' first non-human medal winner here."
Lily: "...Huh, they just had to go an' prove me wrong, an' after all this fuss too. Kinda' feel silly, now that I think about it."
"So, no more hard feelings?"
Lily: "Guess not..."
"Seems like things are smoothing out here in Bastiet, but I here Yoshikage-san has some adoring fans back in Setsuna City, and for that, let's join my colleague Bill Ted at the Yoshikage Cheer Camp."

"Bill Ted here talking with the kids here that attend Yoshikage-san's camp, and when they saw her results online, there was cheering of a different kind. Let's ask a few kids about what is going through their minds right now about their mentor."
Kid 1: "Yoshikage-san is SO cool!! I can't believe she won silver!!"
Kid 2: "Ah' want ta go ta the Oatland Games when ah' grow up just like Ms. Yoshikage."
Kid 3: "I don't know what all the excitement is about, seeing as Ms. Yoshikage isn't actually the first non-human to win a medal at the Oatland Games, or has everyone forgotten the freestyle skiing silver medal won by Orangefields from the now-since devastated nation of Revolutionary equestria?!"

~rapid jump-cuts of awkward silence and confusion among all parties~
Delphi: "...uuuuhhhh?!!"
~camera catches The Onigiri Enclave emissary Data Breach in the background busting out laughing upon hearing this~
Delphi: "......F-!!" ~technical difficulties~

"Alright, Delphi Bergit, back after... a surprising development. How did we all miss that?!! Now we ALL feel silly in taking that proverbial victory lap, but still, we can't take away the fact our own Ayame Yoshikage managed to win silver, which is still a victory in of itself, and in all our pomp, we did forget the efforts of Anne Van Pan of Vernalo whom she beat to get to this place, and to that we apologize.
Another disservice was pushing aside the other events' coverage that happened the same day, as we had yet another silver medalist, this time in decathlon runner Red Halivista, who put up the best scores in the running events and long jump, but was simply outclassed in the throwing events and the high jump events by this year's gold medal winner Harbir Singh of The great bhutan, while a solid performance on the pole vault helped catapult Ramir Ashid of The great bhutan to a bronze medal alongside his teammate Harbir.
The third and final even to take place was the weightlifting event, which was the one event Fishy Apples decided to bow out of this year. Here longtime participant Finmany of Christmas acquired another shiny ornament when Gérald Van De Grand won gold. Meanwhile, The great bhutan seems to be setting themselves up to be a dynasty this year, taking silver and bronze with their impressive technique.
While we still haven't word when rifle shooting will be able to resume competition, we can say this year's Oatland Games are shaping up to be an exciting one, and at this presumptive halfway point, let's total up the current medal count for everyone:

The great bhutan: 4 - 1G, 1S, 2B
Fishy Apples: 3 - 1G, 2S
Hyon Delta: 1 - 1G
Finmany: 1 - 1G
Aclion: 1 - 1S
Procrasta nation: 1 - 1B
Vernalo: 1 - 1B

It seems Fishy Apples and The great bhutan are neck and neck for the lead in the medal right now, but as we quite hilariously found out today, ANYTHING can happen at these games. Tune in next time!! This has been Delphi Bergit, FAWN Sports!!"
