DESCRIPTIONAs the political parties of the Imperial Senate grow, a good way to stimulate them will be to hold a weekly debate on a topic proposed by any member of the region. Each week the Director of the Arts and Communications shall organize each debate when it is suited to all parties. A representative from each political party will be invited to the debate, but there are no requirements to go.
The debates will be held on the RMB, and the Director of the Arts and Communications shall write a report on each debate.
The Vice-President shall moderate the debates, and make sure all parties follow the rules listed. In the absence of the Vice-President, the Director of the Arts and Communications shall moderate the debates.
RULESAll discussions must be kept civil.
All discussions must be on the topic brought up.
All parties must wait for the moderator to ask them to respond on a topic, before posting on the RMB
Constant breaking of the rules will result in ejection from the debate by the moderator.
ORDER OF DEBATEThe order of the debate will be:
Stage 1
I will ask each debater to respond to the question.
Each debater will have 10 minutes to post their response. If they have not posted it after this time, we shall move on.
Stage 2
If any debaters want to critique another's answer to the question, I will ask them if they want to do so. Please only ask one question to one other debater and provide context to it.
Each debater will have 5 minutes to write a question if they choose to do so.
Stage 3
If your response has been critiqued, you will have the opportunity to respond. I shall ask the debater in question to post their response in this case.
