Please reprivatize the schools. Return them to being public schools (controlled by the private citizens of the respective community) with the lands and plant paid for by local bond, instead of state schools masquerading as public. Never have we spent so much per person and gotten so little in return. Enslaving a child for 12 years for the purported purpose of Education and Morality only to matriculate a lying, cheating, government dependent man-child who cannot read, write and think well enough to appreciate the liberal arts, nor apply the most basic of maths, science and reason to the most basic of needs, nor to ably govern himself productively in a free and open society is the height of child abuse. I am serious when saying there are administrators and bureaucrats who need to be jailed for this malfeasance/miscarriage.

Homeshoolers on a fraction of the cost, with the right curricula produce young adults with an average of 2 grade levels of academic superiority, better socialization and civic community skills, less criminality, better business acumen, and more productivity than government schools, or charter schools.

My fire brigade is a civic organization. They raise money like police departments used to do -- charity, BBQs, Salmon cookoffs, Fireman's Ball (really a poor man's gala) kickstarter programs, applying for grants, and occasionally a voter bond (not since the 70s, iirc).

My police department (when I lived in an incorporated town) used to be a volunteer civic organization until it was usurped the the city government in the early 1990s to receive federal funds. It is now a unionized tool of the city council no longer responsive to the community that spawned it back when it was a private civic organization . Now i'm rural, my firearms, neighbors and Sheriff's Department (if/when needed) are my police.

Yes, the Progressives broke the Police Departments just so they could institute squads of Marxist thugs who have no idea of Constitutional Rights or Peelian principles are. Solution: return to being civic organization based on Constitutional and (if need be) Peelian principles run by and answerable to the private citizens of the local communities in which they patrol as Peace Officers duly sworn to uphold the Constitution with its Bill of Rights, the respective State Constitution with its Articles of Rights, and the rights in the County/Municipal charter, seeing to that the rights, privileges and immunities of the People, each and every one are upheld.

Also when I lived in town, my sewage facilities was owned by the City of Paris, France (no joke) until they could no longer handle Socialist Nationalization and sold us to a private party, where it is dooing better than when we were a cash cow for the Citizens of Paris (and it is running much more efficiently). Of course now we have a septic tank and drainage field for humans and recycle the animal manure back onto the crops.

Every breath I breath, and every drop I drink is private -- a part of mine own private person.

Do not get me started on what a sham government run roads are... What a rip off. Administration of the roads by private citizens who caretake the very roads they themselves drive on within their own communities has been and is superior in efficiency in every way to public administration by city, country, state, and national unaccountable bureaucracy.

The water in the community my brother-in-law is from in Idaho has been private for over a century. The system was fronted in the early 20th century by his great-grandfather and another man through a zero-interest loan they floated to the community. They charged a "water bill" to pay off the loan until the 40's after which the entire community has been receiving free spring tap water. Of course the county government has tried to get their hands on it, but so far they have been blocked by the community.
