As you have seen in a post above, Consul of the Republic Caezar has chosen to resign over some concerns brought up after recent events. I solemnly accept his resignation and we are preparing a transition period.

That said, I wish to offer Caezar a thank you that words cannot easily express. He has served this region for nearly four years in a variety of ways, and I hope that his decision to resign the Consulship is simply the closing of one chapter to move on to a new one.

The recent events of his tenure should not be what he is remembered for. I think Caezar is showing a level of honour and nobility by doing this, and his time in the Consulate should be remembered for his extensive service and contribution.

I look forward to continuing to work with Caezar, whether he is an Advisor, or whatever other posts he may seek or attain in the future. He has promised me he will remain active and involved in this community, us agreeing that this is more than a region, a group of friends.

On a more future note, the successor to Caezar will be chosen unanimously by the Consulate (him included). We will provide updates as necessary.

Lastly, once Caezar has left office, I will move that the Consulate bestow Caezar with the Distinction of Service to the Republic for Consulate Citation, a high honour and recognition which he has earned.
