What kinda books is everyone reading lately?

I finished Vol. II and III of Richard J Evans history of the Third Reich and am nearly finished with the first volume. I recommend these books to anyone interested in political power and history (aka all of you!), I have one word to describe them: magistral. Evans is extremely good at creating a strong sense of contextual understanding of 12 years of a nation, raising voices you would never get to hear in most histories. Indeed in one instance he sent me down a book spree of learning about the treatment of the disabled, another you’re down a spree of books on the Nazis in the balkans. Every section is rich like this. Also the first volumes similarities to be found between the rise of the Nazis and today’s hard right (and as we know, “center”) are incredibly striking.

They sound excellent, I will remember the name.

I've been reading Spinoza's "Ethics", alongside Deleuze's book on Spinoza. I've really enjoyed unpacking his metaphysics and grasping an entirely new perspective of things. There are some interesting links with Nietzsche and Stirner, which make an interesting foil for my own political and ethical ideas.
