Yeah, but I have grown accustomed to it, as I have seen the Sami flag regularly through my life, especially on TV, but they have their own national holiday, as well, on February 6, where the flag can be flown in some of our municipalities:

They also have their own parliaments, with the Norwegian one being the most powerful among them:

And it can seem to be, that the Kven people are a bit envious now, because of how much the Sami has received from the Norwegian government, compared to them, so that might be their reason for making a flag of their own, as well, to strengthen their identity. They also designed their own costume in the 1990s, for the same purpose.
