Cambodia & Laos actually became French protectorates to escape Thai rule. This all based on some irl reading I did on Southeast Asian history. So yh, in public Indochina will say it is against imperialism but it well never directly call for Thailand’s independence.

And if Thailand were to become independent hehehe... >:}
