Uhm, I don’t think there is an obsession.

Certainly some women like those things to a ridiculous level and that’s fine, but I think those are more stereotypes created about women than actual enjoyment things (a stereotype created probably because men can wear plaid until they’re dead and look awesome, while if I dress to that level I look ratty. Ergo, I probably spend more time shopping than men because I don’t have the plaidability)
