The Cairo Treaty

The Prime Minister of The Democratic Republic of Omnise Robert Dombarovsky, and the Prime Minister of The People's Republic of Fifj has signed a peace and a non - agression treaty between Omnise and Fifj. The two nations nearly went into combat, but diplomacy solved the problem in the last minutes - the armed forces of the two nations were called back just before real fight. We are hoping that there won't be any conflicts like this with Fifj and other countries. This incident truly shows the power of diplomacy and communication between nations.
Also we would like to commemorate the Prime Minister of Fifj after his tragic death. "He was a wise leader of his nation, it was honor to know him personally and work with him" - Prime Minister Robert Dombarovsky.

Reentry of Horizon - 1

Tonight, Horizon - 1 made it's final deceleration burn lowering it apoapsis to 49 kilometres. The atmosphere will slow it down from 11,7 km/s to the speed of sound then we will start the parachute deployment process. The spacecraft will be protected with a heat shield from the 2800 °C during reentry. The max. G forces will be around 4-5 G. The total mass of the spacecraft is 9,9 tons. It will land in Sudan with parachutes, the search and rescue teams are ready now. The reentry will not be broadcasted live, because we will lose all communication with the spacecraft for a few minutes because of 3000 °C hot atmospheric gas plasma around the reentering craft, but we will release a full video of reentry from inside the capsule. The reentry will start in 20 minutes.
