I used to have to get my blood drawn twice a week to monitor my lithium levels. I found the easiest way of handling it is to just take a deep breath, let it out, and relax as much as possible. It doesn't take long, and while its not comfortable, it's far easier and quicker if you are loose, relaxed and generally chill.
