**** New WA Resolution Notification *****

There is currently a new General Assembly Resolution at vote. When expressing your opinion, please note which Resolution it is for. And remember Texans, your individual vote does count!

The new Resolution is called:
"Ozone Layer Protection
A resolution to increase the quality of the world's environment, at the expense of industry.

Aware that high levels of Ultraviolet Light, particularly in certain wavelengths, can be very harmful to many types of life-forms"...

Synopsis: A Texan, using their WA nation located elsewhere, attempts to guarantee all lifeforms' continued existence by allowing the General Assembly to perform research, impose guidelines and enforce compliance with the reduction of ozone-depleting activities. Save The Cheerleader, Save The World. Three Stars. NewTexas will go on record as FOR on this Resolution. This is only the opinion of NewTexas. We look forward to other Texans' opinions and comments on this Resolution. If good arguments to the contrary are made, we will reconsider our position.

The Texas response was flat on the last GA vote -- Protection Of Biomedical Research -- which was passed after gaining 78.1% of the vote. As a reminder, all we are looking for is a simple 10% of Texans to say one way or another. We are a force for change in the WA. Every vote counts! There were 5 publicly-expressed opinions on the last Resolution with the final Texas tally running 4 FOR and 1 AGAINST and 0 ABSTAIN and 0 UNDECIDED. Texans were almost unanimous.
