Yeah, those types are pretty ridiculous, but they're hardly advocating stonings for adultery. And whatever misogyny comes out of them, they're not sentencing women to permanent veils or denying them the right to drive...

The scales are completely different, irritating though the behavior of those types may be. Let's not worry to much about fighting the gnat when the dragon is still flying. I think keeping a perspective on the levels of this is important.

So while some of those tendancies are worrying, they are not an existential threat to civilisation. The present actions of the theocrats clearly are so. The two issues are just not remotely comparable in terms of the danger they pose.

The techbro atheist is a classic alt right figure. I don't really agree with what you are saying--respectfully, comrade!
