The one I'm looking for involves the protagonist accidentally making Imperial japan win and as a result, a dish he liked never got developed.
I'm a bit mystified by Tanya's rage against Being X in the end. Sure Being X put her through lots of crap (and she compared E95 to a kidnapped man taken to a desert being told by the kidnapper there is a well nearby but it's optional to use it). Being X certainly doesn't seem worthy of prayer or praise, but there is every indication that if she caved she could have anything physically possible, including an Imperial Victory and a nice relaxed deskjob for herself. Just swallow your pride and you can have your decisive victory Tanya!

It is WW1. The tanks were Panzer 2's which would have been made shortly after 1924 which is when the anime is happening.
