Are you serious?! War/Conflict is human nature, we MUST fight one another on every scale. Be it a minor argument or all out war. Thinking "having a better economy will bring peace" will get you killed when it comes time to fight.
In summary, War is a very last resort. We as humans attempt to be peaceful, for the most part. But nothing will or can stop conflict.

I'd never contradict the commander of an entire Army of Scorpions. :-S
