In Ireland we have multiple health insurers but fairly simple healthcare. Either with the HSE who run all public hospitals and clinics which is used very easily by the majority or you can go private. Like many other european nations the problem we have is understaffing and over crowding in large urban areas, not affordable access to it. For about 10 euro you can get cover for school children for 24 hours during the course of an academic year(at least while I was in school up until 2010/11). I think a similar fee is still in operation for primary school children but not 100% sure.
