Can we import some of these Special Penguins? we wish to conduct some experiments.
All this talk of space exploration, has triggered the interest of Fayrcrest, who, in the past few days has initiated the Fayrcrest Space Program, with a ready shuttle for space exploration...
To further our space research & development, Fayrcrest will collaborate with Ayesland, Geoberg, The great kingdom of scotland, The great southern highlands & Ritoania...
We'd provisionally be OK with this so long as you're not planning to turn them into an army and send them back our way.
Construction of the Janfortian moon base has commenced construction is estimated to be finished in 2 months time by then a 4th and 5th shuttle shall be sent both containing military personnel.
Gebeorg is glad to see nations coming together - space is a big place, it requires co-operation. We're sure the penguins from Riotania will be more than useful in this endeavour too.
United Nationalist Republic and Ayesland
The penguins are positively looking forward to it. Our chief penguin interpreter says he's never seen them so excited. Is this the stage where we have to mention that all the controls in the test rockets will have to be fitted for use by flippers? Only a minor adjustment, I'm sure.
To better protect our assets in space Janfort shall create the SDP (Space Defense Pact) any nation that would wish to join please notify me. Please let it be known this pact is not a pact that shall enter an offensive war against anyone just a pact for defense of our assets in space.
United Nationalist Republic, Fayrcrest, and Ayesland
We are willing to sign up to the pact. I'm assuming this is a non aggression pact limited to bases on the moon yes?
That would be correct until nations within the pact would expand elsewhere for example mars.
Are these emperor, brush-tailed, little, crested or banded penguins? We just need to make sure that the allocated space is suitable for their sizes.
Bassein trials
The International Military Tribunal has concluded the trial of captured fascist rebels from Free lancashire. The judges from The united provinces of serbania, Potomackia, United Nationalist Republic, Gebeorg,Riotania and Free lancashire took part. The Tribunal sat at our capital, Bassein.
Of the 20 000 captured rebels, 15 000 were combatants who were found to be coerced into joining rebel forces. After consultation with the Attorney General of Free lancashire, they were returned to their home country where they will be rehabilitated and re-absorbed into the civil society.
4000 were found to be guilty of various war crimes, including killing civilians or prisoners, torture, destroying civilian property, taking hostages, perfidy, rape, using child soldiers, pillaging, refusing quarter, and serious violations of the principles of distinction and proportionality. They were handed down sentences from 10-20 years depending on the seriousness of their crimes.
1000 were thought to be ‘controlling minds’ of the rebel fascist movement and were given life sentences with hard labour and visitation restrictions.
No one was executed as capital punishment has been abolished in Ayesland.
The Chief Justice of Ayesland thanked the visiting jurists. Another banquet was held. The top legal minds from the participating countries were found judging the relative merits of Ayeslandic wines and beers. Rulings are expected imminently.
The visiting heads of states of The united provinces of serbania, Potomackia were welcomed with a 21-gun salute and a guard of honour. A summit meeting is being held in the seaside resort of Sandoway.
Recent reports in Marajo say that the second phase of the construction of the Kagoia Xoiakahai, the Marajoan space station, has commenced. Robotic arms have been launched into space, and are currently assembling other parts of the space station together. It will be the first known space station in the United Kingdom to utilize artificial gravity in the form of centrifugal force, as well as the first to utilize nuclear fusion and advanced forms of known quantum mechanics to fuse atoms together and create new elements. This could provide the station with unlimited energy and resources. Kagoia Xoiakahai will be utilized not only as a laboratory, but as the world's first urban settlement in space as well.
Your nation's intelligence agency has found that the Marajoan government is planning on building more copies of the space station, and that it is working on macroscopic quantum teleportation to instantly transport goods and people between itself and its space stations.
Can we have some penguins? We will have them as scientists at the SNSAA.
Can we please join as well?

Riotania formally requests entry to the Space Defence Pact.
Office of the Prime Minister | Press Release
The Prime Minister, after consulting the Treasurer, has agreed to pledge £3 billion into the Fayrcrest Space Program over the next 5 years. The PM will appoint a minister in the coming days to be The great southern highlands representative in the coming days.
Gebeorg would like to suggest a merger of operations and co-operation never seen before. We suggest that all space programmes should be under one organisation: The Joint Nations Space Programme (The 'JNSP').
We propose that each nation provides funds for programmes, will all be involved in missions, launches, and the like, and will all provide grounds for operations and research.
To elaborate on the last point, each nation will provide an area of land which would belong to the JNSP - like an embassy. These may be launch sites, or research centres, etc. These sites will have legal protections in the same sort of way as embassies, to protect staff, documents and intelligence, and so forth.
We hope this would make on-going co-operation more formal. Gebeorg would like to hear from all those nations with any ideas or views that have on this.
