Ok, well The nation I was going to refer to is outside of the region so that's a no. But I'm waiting on that map application.

Well, I thought there might be some challenge to it but I'll continue this discussion later.

Special Diplomatic Message from Abydos

Greetings Friends

I wanted to delight and share with you some recent news out of Abydos. As we value our embassies and encourage a more open dialog, this message comes to you today with the utmost respect and joy in our sharing of embassies.

Abydos has undergone a sort of transformation both internally and as reshape our view of the world around us. I invite you, as share in this new experience.

Abydos Turns Defender
One of the most striking changes in Abydos Foreign policy is our rapid and sudden shift toward defending and the continued buildup of our military structure and forces. As Each Grand Luxarch chooses their foreign policy, it is my choosing to be strictly defenders and stand against raiding regions all over NationStates. Our view is that all regions sovereignty should be respected and assistance provided wherever necessary to maintain harmonious relations with all regions.

Abydos Population Boom
Periodically, Abydos launches a massive recruitment effort to boost our numbers and expand our outreach. This was just launched yesterday. As you are a region which shares an embassy with us, this is important because this means ambassadors can be exchanged. Abydos is looking to strengthen our ties to all of our embassies, and increase the communication and resources shared between our regions. I will invite you to send an ambassador to Abydos to accomplish this goal.

In Closing
Abydos is taking a renewed interest in foreign affairs and looking to advance our relationship. If any of you have questions, please feel free to contact me via telegram or directly to our Regional Message Board. We are happy to hear from you.

I mean, in the military's eyes they were deliberately helping out and hiding insurgents.

Or they were being used by them rather than helping. That was dumb.

Prepare to be internationally condemned

I'll take it from those willing to do so, adds to the storyline of how hard the Wake Isles have been fought for for so long.

I hereby officially condemn Polar

For being 2 hot 2 handle

I'm back! Perhaps I should have started with a news post on farming to ease myself back in, or... a condemnation!

However taking stuff over just for the general thought of taking stuff over is typically frowned upon if theres no future RP ideas. Also there is typically a group of nations who frown upon modern imperialism and aren't afraid to give people who partake in it, the boot.

Modern imperialism is the perfect solution for everything in today’s world politics

I like how you put the unchecked power part, the more I write this storyline the more I'm seeing the nation as a child almost. Knowing that it can do what it wants and get away with it. I think this storyline is meant to be that slap on the wrist by the end of it.

After my last course on global politics, I've realized just how little power international law really has if you don't have an overpowering force to leverage things.

Seems to hold water. That begs to question though, who holds the power of leverage in TWI?

I'm really enjoying writing like this, I'm excited about Suibhan being involved in the League as my delegate.

Well I hope to contribute if I can! Noronica is starting to look to destabilise the status-quo of regional power centred on the MSTO anyway, the kicking out of 14 Miklanian diplomats on espionage charges was a start.

People dont know how to bad guy properly nowadays.

The MSTO is the most commonly referenced one. Not helpful in stopping Polar.
