Bone wars? What?! Hell, if this is about what I think it is, then count me in!

Yes, but for live animals and artifacts.

So basically in 19th Century, Magarati hangs (who could no longer wage wars against each other due to treaties and foreign powers had grown to powerful for individual hangates) decided that new "scientific discoveries" and other works of arts and literature would now count as "prestige points" needed to become the Mahang (leading your armies into the battlefield had been an easy way to farm prestige...which is why there were so many wars started by Magaratis).

Rival hangs funded their own scientific expeditions to "make as many new discoveries" as possible. So, there was this crazy rush for finding news species and discovering ancient artifacts. It also brought new crazes like Mihenomania (sadly, no longer possible since Menna Shuli is no longer on map...I would happily like to have it be replaced by Magarati boners for Iza culture and stuff like that).

So, I was thinking of adding some extra international spice in this rivalry. And more of "nationalist" pseudo-science than actual work.

You should totally do fossil hunting too, though. It was a yuuge part of the kinda adventurer-prestige expéditions that you want to do. Also, don't forget that a lot of the explorers would have been polymaths, more or less at the time as well.
EDIT: so I just had an idea. Western scientists scowered the world in that time period an brought home lots of stuff, anyway. Why wouldn't I take some stuff for myself during this period? I want Segentova to be more than just a wrench in the cogs for the league.

Did you ever consider that Daniel Craig is maybe just our generations Steve McQueen?

I might be spending the next few days converting my Facebook's to align with the TWIkipedia format, or I might be finishing my military. Depends

Hello

Not gonna lie, I thought you were referring to Lightning McQueen for a second.

Anyone ever play modern brigade? Thinking of getting into it.

Tried googling it, couldn't find it (a game I assume?). What is it?

Whoops, I mean armored brigade. It's sorta like a less graphical war game.

Is it me or are there many more resolutions tabled at the WA than previously?
Not that I care a lot; I just vote against, without reading the proposals, just to get the red notification circle out of my vision :)

I chose to opt out of the WA years ago. Forgot those were still major gameplay mechanics.

If by war game you're specifically referring to the Wargame series of games, yeah it looks like a less graphical, more oldschool/tabletopy version of Wargame.

It's freeware which is pretty cool. You can also generate campaigns which I think is super neat. The terrain features are cool too.

Completely off topic: of all of Anton Bruckner's symphonies, I like the scherzo movements the best. The rest just drags too much.

(Background: I started listening all my classical music in alphabetical order by composer on 3 April because I am working from home and have time all day. I covered A in six days and am now approaching the end of B)

Is it pretty old or fairly new?

San Jimenez wrote:Is it pretty old or fairly new?

I think it's been around for a while. It got its first official release in 2018 though.

Just posting here on the RMB so I don't get removed. I'll be like this until things with covid-19 die down in my county. Until then, stay wonderful TWI.
