The banner of the Populist Dictator Under the Mountain.
Another session, another player death. Last night, the party was awoken at the Temple of Apollo by a half-fiend minotaur and a bunch of imps who called themselves emissaries of the Queen of Stone. The party picked a fight, and while they wound up victorious, Ixtli the Psion was bisected by the bullish boy's bardiche. The Oracle at the Temple warned that since they had killed ambassadors and a couple of imps escaped, the Queen of Stone was likely to send a larger army soon if the party didn't stop her first. The party decided to rest one night and then rush to the Stone Garden to kill the Medusa and steal her ship. They managed to discover a sinkhole near the grazing lands of the Cyclopi, which accessed a lava flue that they could use to reach Hephaestus' Cauldron faster. The party wound up splitting up, because they met a nymph in an underground cistern who offered them help (she was basically just super horny for all these new boys). Half the party said yes and jumped into the undertow, while the cat and the warpriest ditched. The party that joined the nymph got to her grotto, where she offered them a place to rest. Meanwhile, the cat and the warpriest found a temple of Hephaestus in the caldera of the volcano (the eponymous Hephaestus' Cauldron). They found a mechanism built into the altar, and while fighting some Magma elementals they triggered it, giving them access to a secret elevator. However, the players didn't seem to realize it was an elevator, so only the cat went in and pulled the lever while the warpriest fought the elementals. This split the party even more.
The cat was taken to a huge underground complex with some locked and barred vault doors. He could hear digging through one wall, indicating someone was trying to excavate from somewhere else past the doors. He found a crack in one wall which he slipped through that took him into a labyrinth. While wandering, he found a well, with another nymph. It offered to help him when the cat said it didn't know where it's friends had gone, and it carried the cat (with some water breathing spell help) to her sister's grotto, reuniting most of the party. The warpriest wandered back the way he had come all the way to the sinkhole, where he could hear sheep and deep booming voices from above. He hid and made camp.
The reunited party discussed matters, but we're interrupted when an Anywhere But Here spell brought Ix's player's new character in. Apparently she was escaping the War that's starting across the planes with an emergency escape device that tumbled her to the grotto. The nymphs were unimpressed with another woman throwing off the "ratio of their party", and got sullen and pouty. That's basically where we left off.
Glas the vibe is getting across.
Yes! And it felt like Blue Monday today but that's only next week/in three days...
It feels like Thursday but it's still Monday help
Dormill and Stiura and Almorea
Yesterday
ever since new years time has been real convoluted
The more convoluted time becomes the closer we get to breaking the shackles of this mundane simulation.
Don’t forget the Japanese Type 60 with two M106 recoilless rifles.
Those are still quite heavy, around 8 tonnes.
I think what I am thinking of making is a tracked armored car/utility vehicle. Something that is capable of logistical use, or fighting, where one could attach SAMs or ATGMs, and an emphasis on light weight. The tracks would be important though for movement in snowy and unfavorable terrain.
An armed snowcat
I suppose you could say that, an emphasis on speed and reconnaissance though.
How lewd do you think I can get my flag before the mods devour my soul?
If it's anything like YouTube, it doesn't matter as long as you don't show swastikas or footage from Nintendo games.
How long are IC posts expected to be?
There's no rule for it - The point is to post something of substance, depending on the RP you're in.
I'm currently trying to participate in the Preserve or Profit RP. Are we allowed to make up relevant statistics about, for instance, the oil deposits?
That's a question to post in the OOC thread of the RP, or ask the OP (Ainslie in this case).
As a general rule - you can determine only your nation's stats. Everything else has to be done in agreement with others.
Or Roendavar as well, Mageek (he's the other OP).
As for the question about the oil deposits - this is relatively early days so further investigation and exploration is needed to get exact numbers (That's the IC line at the moment, at least).
About working on a new canon for YN? Yeah, let me know what you need help with.
alright, lets see if i get into gael
I actually did give some numbers for at least a deposit.
It’s a giant deposit (defined as between 4 and 6 billion barrels of oil in place [OIP]) 161km northwest of the outermost island of the Atoll.
Yeah, I imagine that'd be the closest we could get to it at the moment - run on that. Is it cool if you could put that in the OOC thread?
