I mean I have been demanding a creation of a Germanic state within Charbagnia (IC wise) for quite some time now, so maybe that could play a part?

It's fine if you want to have been sea in the past, and the cretaceous was far enough back that it's plausible. I don't get why you want that if you want dinosaur bones though. Is your nation mountainous?

Most male adults seemed to be either dentists or car washers; the car washers were sheds from where a man with a hose would wet your car. Houses were in various state of completeness; apparently you get taxed less if your house isn't finished yet. The few motorways weren't for speedy transport as there were selling boots along the roads where old women sold their garden fruits and vegetables and where car drivers actually stopped to buy the stuff. But beautiful scenery: high mountains, large forests, scary ravines...

I may be wrong, the remainder of the Charbagnian Federation is a predominately German State. You could always provide support to them.
