Hello guys, want to be friends

Does anyone have any ideas on what to write for after the ambush?

Ok, did I miss something? I just see a bunch of people arguing in the league. From what I saw in the news Polar killed 62 people, for what reason exactly?

Polar is tackling terrorism, but doing so without prejudice

Innocent civilians are just future terrorists, after all

The one in the US Constitution? That works well.

Polar is using a very heavy-handed technique to combat an insurgent group by targeting potential civilian populations that might be aiding insurgents (at least, that's how I think it goes). It's sort of what the US did in Vietnam, on a very basic level.

Don't mind me, just firing very very passive-aggressive shots at socialism.

Expect to get shots back, friend.

Hmm. I mean go for some stuff.

Alright, thanks. I just wanted to make sure you were okay with some of the details in the dispatch like the Treaty of Karanoa because I might bring it up in the league and I didn't want your delegate to be like "this doesn't exist", :P

Giving that Congress seems to swing between being gridlocked in times of divided government and being the president's lapdog in times of united government I would say that's up for debate.

Good luck finding a legislature that doesn't do that, lol.

That was the direction I was going for Merrit Isle independence back in the day.

And the verdict on independence is... Boaty McBoatface?

There's a difference between direct democracy and write-in votes. The idea was actually delegative democracy: everyone had one vote on any issue, but you could delegate your vote to another individual, who could likewise delegate their votes to someone else. So politicians run on their own merits by accruing votes, and can have votes stripped from them at any time. The power of a politician would have been directly attributable to the amount of individuals delegating them power at a 1:1 ranking, basically. The top X number of individuals in terms of votes accrued would select what options could be voted on for any issue, and then it would be opened up digitally to anyone who had retained or accrued votes. Far from a perfect system, but hey, that wasn't going to be the point.

A very interesting concept.

Well my plan was to have a house of reps like the U.S. But I didn't want to do the senate like the U.S does it since my nation only has a handful of states and I didn't want one of the houses to just be 10 people.

Do as I did, just give more "senators" to the states to fluff up the numbers. Or make the "senate" proportionally elected, but with less seats than the "house".

Or unicameral congress

In Adzhatia the parliament has 160 members, 115 of whom are proportionally elected and the remaining 45 by single transferable vote based on districtional constituencies - and not at the same time.
