Power just came on after being off since yesterday.
Cranked all the heaters, charging all the phones.
Water has to be boiled as per PSA.

Slowly shedding the layers of blankets ....

Varanius, how dare you.

So much for retirement. I might (emphasis on might) be going back to work full time.

Unexpected this is.

An interesting region, this is.

Oh you don’t know the half of it. 😀

Anyway, welcome to NS and The West Pacific. As a new nation you may be interested in our New Player’s Guide. Everything you need to know to get you started in the game.

I was looking for maybe a couple of days a week as a technical consultant - now it’s possible I may be back full time and travelling once again (Covid allowing of course).

Re the SC: got telegrammed overnight by a wannabe Condemnation author telling me they didn’t like how harsh I was to their draft. I got out the world’s smallest violin and told them to do more research and write better proposals.

It's D-3 before the 1st World Cup of Football!

We're closing the signups a day earlier! We now have 24 participants for this 1st tournament of international football in our sports roleplay! But don't fret, the tournament will still start on 2/21/2021!

We have also determined the host for this year's World Cup of Football and the tournament logo has also been unveiled today! You can see all of them in our forums!

TODAY IN THE WEST

It's Thank You Thursday: what are you grateful for?

We're very grateful that so many of you have signed up for World Cup of Football!

We're also grateful for batteries and wine, which are celebrated today. Charge or replace your batteries and enjoy some wine!

Also, get excited: this weekend our Festival of the Perfections begins!

When I worked in NZ one of the favourite terms for someone who was being rather snarly was that they’d been “drinking battery acid”.

Looks like trying to close >3,500 embassies may have broken a part of the game. The Embassy is stuck on about 1,300 to go and this is the third update where closures should have happened.

I love this janky game. It always breaks in interesting ways.

Yeah, I especially love how I asked my drivers to drive a little bit more safely and my entire car manufacturing sector completely evaporated.

It's like the entire nation simultaneously went "What? Obeying traffic laws? Screw this, I'm walking!".

Huh. Apparently me and BBD tried to suppress at the same time and then a pop-up appeared saying "failed to suppress post" for me.

I particularly enjoyed the "This nation does not exist" when I tried to login a bit ago.

I was working on the Equilism database the past couple nights, NOT the NS database! Honest!

neighborhood teens finally showed up with shovel to rid my driveway of all the snow...

I wondered if anyone liked $$ anymore
