Any fellow Californians here? Or anybody from the Western USA or Canada?

Room 3 you asked that before and didn’t get an answer then. Take the hint.

Anyway just watched “The Dig” on Netflix. Tells the somewhat fictionalised story of the discovery of the Sutton Hoo treasures just before the outbreak of WWII. Well worth a watch.

It's been a couple months since the last Sunday Stock Report, so I'll give you this instead:

Today's investment highlight is: Silver. Will retail investors break the banks Silver shorts? Retailers and metals markets are overwhelmed today, some have halted orders. Silver closed over $25/oz Friday, it's almost $29/oz right now. Might it go to triple digits this week? Watch for Silver all time highs. The banks manipulate the prices to keep silver low, so if countered, Silver could break much higher. It's well below it's historical value ratio to Gold. But who knows how the banks will fight back against the retailers. Right now they're just trying to stop the trading. Also related to last week's market action, 8 stocks are being throttled with limited trades: AMC, NOK, BB, EXPR, GME, GNUS, KOSS, NAKD.

And Dogecoin may make another run in the next 24 hours. Already made another short run today. Why?

Crypto tips: The market often falls late Friday till Monday as institutional traders log off for the weekend. Up again Late Sunday/Early Monday when they log back on. But of course, always do your own due diligence, this is not financial advice, it doesn't work every weekend, and the pattern can change at anytime. And if you're awake in the middle of the night in North America, you can sometimes catch an upward surge when China wakes up. The markets are quieter between North America going to bed and China waking up. A 24/7 market has advantages over a 9 - 4 M-F market.

Crypto "Alt-season" should be about to take off and may be good off and on for 2 or 3 months. Look for sudden parabolic rises in small cap coins like Dogecoin did last week. Etherium made a run the week before and may again. Etherium is the second largest cap coin to Bitcoin and has more uses/potential than Bitcoin. I know some that are always waiting for the next Alt-season to hit. I'd expect more stability in Bitcoin prices until the end of Alt-season (well, by stability, it should stay between 20k and 40k before another run higher or crash lower....I expect higher as more institutional investors come in. Crypto is extremely volatile. That volatility will mellow over time.) And then there is Litecoin that ran up alongside Bitcoin in recent weeks. And Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin Silver, Dash, XRP, ADA.....there are hundreds of coins and tokens now.

If you are not paying attention to crypto, you should be. It's a trillion dollar market now, rivaling Gold. Institutional investors (Goldman Sacs, et al) that bashed crypto finally accepted it and started getting in last month - thus the recent prices rises as well as Bitcoin being a store of value like Gold in an economic distress. And most all banking systems are investigating the technology for their own use. Bank of England working on the Digital Pound for example. China has it's digital currency in limited use testing. And Venezuela has it's Petro cryptocoin. There are rumors of a Digital Dollar from the US Federal Reserve, who is openly investigating the underlying Blockchain technology. Kentucky now uses the blockchain tech for tracking real estate transactions.

Blockchain tech could replace banks entirely. It has the potential to be as impactful on society as the Internet has been.

As a side note to keep this more related to NS and TWP: Another former prominent NS player and I have been chatting about what's been going on in the stock markets the past couple weeks. He's also a former GCR Delegate of multiple regions, and was a member of the TWP community as well. If I mention The poo dynasty, some will know who I'm talking about. ;)

He's talking about Alt-season getting ready to launch.

PS - My Gann guy is warning of a 'troubling aspect' for Bitcoin around July 2, 2021. Here's your chance to check someone's future prediction.

PS - Dogecoin is now up 43% on the day, 1% in the past 30 minutes. (places checkmark next to another Westwind prediction).

That’s interesting about silver - it could hurt companies who use the metal as a metal, if it’s sustained. At the moment such companies would have hedged on the metal price so won’t be affected yet.

I'm not sure why it's 'bad' for the retail investors to run a price up, while it's fine for the hedge fund 'a$$holes' to borrow shares up to 140% of what is actually issued to sell short. Sounds to me like the hedge fund folks need a good drubbing.

TODAY IN THE WEST

"To defeat the marsupial, we must first understand the marsupial."

Today is Punday Monday but with a twist: show love for marsupials with your wordplay. In case you need inspiration, here's a list of marsupial words: https://www.collinsdictionary.com/us/word-lists/marsupial-marsupials

Use this as a basis for haiku tomorrow, as we'll begin our virtual combat with poetic denunciations and narratives of the demise of the marsupial enemy and all marsupialists.

If you find yourself conflicted, know that there is hope for rehabilitation from the love of marsupials. Ask Bhang Bhang Duc!

The short-tailed scrub wallaby mainly lives on islands, but there are some on the mainland.
I told my friend I saw some come over, but he said that's a quokka ship!
