France will inevitably join the Entente.
they have said otherwise. they have said they don't want to play second fiddle to the UK.
That doesn't make any sense. France and Britain were best buds. There is absolutely no reason for them to hate each other without breaking character.
Just find it weird that BOTH the Austrians and Ottomans were split for no reason.
they have severe political turmoil. a revolution is more than possible. or perhaps they differ over Britain's support of the Confederacy, France being more abolitionist
So, we're just gonna forget the whole 800 years of absolutely hating each other thing?
I'm not going to limit myself because of this buddy. I literally had an anti-monarchist coup and I have a president that people consider rather extremist. I don't know what you're wanting from me here.
This is the Victorian era though, an era literally characterized by Britain and France being inseparable.
That makes sense. Britain so far has been willing to overlook the whole slavery thing in exchange for cheap goods and weapons, France may not be so lenient and that causes a rift between the two partners. This is just an idea though.
to quote wikipedia: "Close friendly ties between the two began with the 1904 Entente Cordiale" it is 1894, and perfectly reasonable for them to hate each other
I would like a relatively normal rp and not a cursed one.
I guess so, but still. There is still some bad blood from the whole Normandy thing.
another wikipedia quote: "In the 1875–1898 era, tensions were high, especially over Egyptian and African issues. At several points, these issues brought the two nations to the brink of war"

we literally have wendigos and fire-breathing French birds, and this is too much?
wikipedia says otherwise
I still find it bizarre that France would betray a potential ally for no reason at all, even when Britain had agreed to split Africa.
russia has eaten a fat sh*t and america has committed die
what I am saying is it is far from unrealistic that france would be hesitant to alliance the UK.
Because I know that following the british means following into a trap of submission.
We aren't even enemies!
Literally just a friendly rivalry because invading the other would be painful
Britain, France and Germany all being rivals. A Tripolar world would be pretty interesting, France will need a ally tho.
We still have a player shortage, especially when it comes to the Central Powers.
I literally have allies in my backpocket.
I've kept this all secret because OOC info causes IC changes.
